Here's What Your All-Time Favorite Holiday Says About Your Personality

As it's currently the official start of the holiday season (even though I was personally thinking about Christmas in August...) it's an appropriate time to make an article all about holidays, and what these holidays say about your personality (all in my opinion and good fun.) Here's what your favorite holiday says about you.

New Year's Eve

If New Year's Eve is your favorite holiday, you may be someone who likes new beginnings and second chances. You may also be a partier, and enjoy throwing parties, drinking, or being surrounded by friends and family. You also might be someone that likes to set goals and create an agenda for themselves to start, and hopefully continue, with.

Valentine's Day

If Valentine's Day is your favorite holiday, you're probably a hopeless romantic and love giving and showing love. You're affectionate, kind, and love to make others feel loved, while also feeling loved yourself.

St. Patrick's Day

If you love St. Patrick's Day, you probably love to drink and/or are Irish.

Easter

If Easter is your favorite holiday, family probably means a lot to you. You probably also consider yourself fairly religious.

Fourth of July

If the Fourth of July is your favorite holiday, you're probably pretty patriotic. You also probably love barbeques and being with family and friends in the summertime. Outdoor activities are more than likely your thing.

Halloween

If Halloween is your favorite holiday, you probably love the thrill of being scared and scaring others. You love the opportunity to dress up and be someone else for a while, and you love fall, and pumpkins, and apple cider.

Thanksgiving

If Thanksgiving is your favorite holiday, you love being with your family and also love ringing in the holiday season. You probably love Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and love being festive with your family and friends. You might also love football, and decorating for the other holidays (which is what my family does on Thanksgiving.)

Christmas

If you're like me and Christmas is your favorite holiday, you're probably in love with the joy that December brings. It's not even specifically about Christmas day for you, it's about spending the whole month watching Freeform's 25 days of Christmas, spending time with your family and friends, and seeing all of the Christmas lights. You have also probably seen "Elf" at least 30 times.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
