Your best friend and you are arguing. You failed a test you studied so hard for. Your whole life is in shambles, but just remember, it’s just a bad day, not a bad life. Here are some points that you need to remember in times like these!

1. No one promised life would be perfect.

Things will become difficult. There will be times when you wonder why you were even put on this earth. However, these come with the territory of life not being quite perfect. You have to roll with some punches, but you will make it through.

2. There is a lesson in every struggle.

Sometimes these lessons aren’t very clear and straightforward, but they are there. Know that everything happens for a reason, and you just need to trust that these things will teach you everything you need to know. As time goes on, you will grow and use these lessons more and more.

3. Without hard times, you wouldn’t know your good times.

Yes, hard times and bad days do suck. However, how would you be able to know your good days when you find yourself on cloud nine if you never had a bad day to compare it to? Remember, a day is only 24 hours; it’s only as bad as it can be in those hours, and then you start off fresh again the next day.

4. You cannot worry forever.

Take it from someone that does nothing but worry: Worrying will get you nowhere. There is no point in worrying, and whatever is making you anxious now will find its way to calmness in a few days, so just hold on and know that it doesn’t last forever, so neither should your worrying.

5. It’s OK to cry.

Crying sometimes makes things a lot better than you would think. Some people just need a good, long cry, and they will be fine. It is a good way to express your emotion and to let your feelings out in a healthy way.

6. No one’s life is as it seems.

You may see other people’s lives and think that yours is pretty low compared to theirs, but that isn’t true. No one will post on social media about the hard times, and that is something that you need to remember. Do not compare your worst days to some else’s best days, as they just simply are not the same at all. No one will showcase all of the tears that they put into something, so do not let someone else make your life seem like it’s falling apart simply because theirs seems to be falling together.

7. You deserve love and happiness.

Always, always, always know your worth, and know that you deserve all the best and even more. Having a bad day is just that -- a bad day. Do not let it diminish your worth and make you think you deserve anything less than everything.

Having a bad day happens to everyone, no matter the situation. Always remember these things when you have a bad day, and always try and brighten up with sunshine wherever you see a dark, stormy cloud.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
