This Championship that has been on repeat for 4 straight years now. The Cavs have made a historic run in the playoffs considering the lack of consistency by the team, but LeBron James has carried his team, and there is no doubt about that. The warriors, on the other hand, put together another solid season although it took a couple more playoff games this season they were able to make another run at the Championship.
The Warriors come in as heavy favorites, and by heavy, I mean the heaviest favorites since the 2001 Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers.
Here are some headlines going into it including season 4 of Warriors Cavs, Family Matters edition.
LeBron James has carried his team this year and had earned the nickname Bron Solo.
LeBron is on his 8th consecutive Finals appearance after reaching his first final only 11 years ago.
LeBron doesn’t seem to have aged much as he has been putting up 40 point games throughout the playoffs and has played at least 40 minutes in the majority of the games. Only one player had traveled further than LeBron this season.
And since Jrue Holidays season ended a couple weeks ago it’s likely LeBron could pass him.
On the other hand Warriors player, Kevin Durant, and Cavilers player, Jeff Green, who were once drafted to the same team will match up for a reunion in this years finals.
The big question is will the Cavs prevail or will the Warriors take their second straight championship and 3rd in the last 4 years.
My pick for the winner is the Golden State Warriors who you see above have continued to be dominant and more consistent than the Cavs who have deeply relied on LeBron James to have success, which isn’t a bad thing but for the Cavs to win more than one player will have to step up. One advantage the Cavs have in game one is that Warriors' player Andre Ingandula will be out and Cavs player Kevin Love will be back for this game. At the disadvantage, the Warriors have had a lot of success at home against the Cavs.
Here’s the schedule for those who anticipate watching part 4 of the Warriors vs Cavs.
