If you don’t follow SEC football or even football at all, then you might not understand all the great things that follow in this article. This current season for the University of Georgia has been a whirlwind of fantastic athletic feats.

From dominating in all games with the exception of one to having a true freshman quarterback become a football star in the blink of an eye, you can say that this has been UGA’s dominating year on and off the field.

At the start, Georgia’s close win against Notre Dame set the tone for the entire season. Having an amazing experience at the game, it proved that this year, Georgia was going to be giving their opponents a run for their money.

Each game the players dominated from left to right, touchdown after touchdown all from the direction of Coach Kirby Smart leading them to victory each game with his enthusiastic movements.

It almost became a game to me how often I would count during a game when the sole task of another staff member for Georgia was to hold Smart’s belt just so he wouldn’t be given a penalty for being on the field, he was that passionate.

Then, like a blessing in disguise, Jake Fromm started as quarterback after the previous quarterback was injured. Little did we know that he would be the answer to all our prayers. With immense strength and accuracy, and fast feet when he needed them, he gained touchdown after touchdown without fail.

Not only did UGA have Fromm, we had the skill of Georgia’s prized possessions, seniors Nick Chubb and Sony Michel who have absolutely dominated in yards. With the dream team combined and working like a well-fueled machine, there wasn’t a doubt that Georgia would be anything but a force to be reckoned with.

And now, after destroying Auburn’s football team at the SEC Championship in Atlanta, UGA is headed to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California at the start of the new year where hopefully they can continue their pace and drive against Oklahoma. Dawg fans have never been more excited, especially since the last time the Dawgs were there was 75 years ago.

Although their athletics continue to be the powerhouse and forefront of the university, Georgia has other prideful moments that cannot be overlooked. The 2018 early-action incoming freshman class will be bringing record academic highs to the university, with the GPA average of 4.11 and the average SAT score of 1390.

The University of Georgia undoubtedly has a strong and bright future waiting for it. Their athletics and academics continue to rise as well the classic Athenian culture that the college town provides, truly making life great for students and fans alike. All I can say for the coming game (hopefully games) and for the future is, GO DAWGS AND SIC ‘EM!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
