What The Characters Of 'The Office' Would Order At Starbucks (And Why)

Because the Dunder-Mifflin employees would have hysterical orders

What The Characters Of 'The Office' Would Order At Starbucks (And Why)

Your Starbucks order defines you. All that you will ever be to the barista who spells your name wrong is your drink order. Your Tall Nonfat Iced PSL with extra whip, your Grande Iced Passion Tea Lemonade sweetened with light ice, or your “medium” coffee, because sometimes you pretend to not know how Starbucks works.

Since Starbucks plays such a crucial role in defining our character as human beings, I often wonder about what certain celebrities or TV characters would order to get their caffeine fix. On "The Bachelor," for instance, they should put the contestants’ Starbucks orders under their names instead of their jobs, because we all know which is more important.

My best show to guess Starbucks orders for, though, has to be "The Office." Coffee cups are omnipresent on the series, so I like to imagine what some of my favorite characters have in theirs. Since Netflix just removed the show, you should order these drinks so you can pretend you’re Pam Halpert instead of accepting this sad reality …

CREED: Steals your drink

Creed steals the order of whoever was in front of him, then bolts for the door so the security cameras don’t catch him texting Snowden while he waits.

KELLY: Tall Skinny Caramel Macchiato

Kelly’s Starbucks order is a tall skinny caramel macchiato because that’s exactly how she would describe herself.

RYAN: Café Latte

Ryan gets a Caffé Latte because it sounds pretentious, but it’s really just a plain coffee with milk.

ANGELA: Cranberry Autumn Tea (CAT)

I know this one is only available at Barnes & Noble, but the acronym is CAT so Angela would definitely drive to the bookstore to buy one. And then get one for each of her cats.

KEVIN: Double Chocolaty Chip Crème Frappuccino

Kevin would find this milkshake option at Starbucks and think he was cheating the system.

TOBY: Vanilla Latte

Toby really wants a Caramel Frappuccino, but he always chickens out when he gets to the front of the line and goes with the safer bet.

ANDY: Passion Tango Tea & Pineapple

Andy loves this fruity beverage because it reminds him of yachting, keeps his sweet singing pipes in a-cappella shape, and color-coordinates with his pastel clothing.

OSCAR: Chai Tea Latte

Oscar gets a Chai Tea Latte because he’s more cultured than you.

ERIN: Peppermint Hot Chocolate

Erin has never really liked coffee after the Nespresso incident of season 9, so if she’s super tired she’ll get the Peppermint Hot Chocolate because it tastes like Christmas elves, but not in a creepy way.

PHYLLIS: Cinnamon Dolce Latte

Phyllis’ go-to drink is the Cinnamon Dolce Latte because it’s warm and cozy, but can always *spice* things up like she and Bob.

JIM: Doesn’t like Starbucks

Jim prefers Dunkin’ Donuts and doesn’t care if you judge him for it (but you won’t, because he’s adorable).

PAM: Earl Grey Tea (on a good day)

Pam says she gets an Earl Grey Tea because she’s trying to not drink too much coffee. But if it has been a long day (so every day because children), she orders a Double Shot Mocha “for Jim.”

DWIGHT: Beet Spice Latte

Dwight resents the fact that pumpkins are the flavor of fall, so he boycotts Starbucks in favor of Schrute Farm’s Beet Spice Latte, patent pending.

MICHAEL SCOTT: Pumpkin Spice Latte, then the Salted Caramel Mocha

Michael wants you to like him, so he loves the PSL. But then everyone makes fun of the PSL and says the Salted Caramel Mocha is better, so he jumps on the “I hate PSL” bandwagon. When those both go out of season, he has an existential crisis.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
