Ever wondered what the difference is between having style and being in style is? Now you can know.
1. a particular kind, sort, or type, as with reference to form, appearance,or character.
In-style - adj.
1. in the current fashion or style.
What is the difference between style and being in-style is the question. This has been long debate, about to be debunked. For fashion girls, we like to say we have 'style', others like to be known as being 'in-style'. So what is the difference anyway?
Style: the way one dresses to express them, on a constant basis. Style supposedly never changes. Style is how one expresses them on a daily basis, whether their style be grungy, classic, or bohemian. Style is how one can identify their 'look'. For some, this may mean wearing the same kind of outfit daily, wearing the same colors, or simply wearing the same brand. Style usually never changes, yet some might wear different styles every week.
In-style: wearing clothing that is on trend at the moment. Being in-style differs from style, with in-style clothing being like a fad. Being in-style isn't about having a certain identity, like style, but following trends and other fashions. Neither are better than the other, because everyone has their own tastes. But having style is clearer idea of what kind of image you want to convey, while being in-style means keeping up with the latest trends.
The difference between the two is pretty simple really. I hope this helps the debate and to clarify the difference between the two fashion terms.
