Start Asking Yourself What Makes you..YOU

I never thought in a million years that I would have to think about my actions before making them happen. I always thought if you want to fight for something you have to give it your 100%.

Well, I just found out that not everything is worth the fight and maybe you just have to let go to see what will become of it. There are so many things that can make you think. Like this for example; family’s or friend’s issues or just something with yourself. I know for fact that all of us have been through something very similar because we are all humans and we make mistakes.

Well, I made up these questions and thought that maybe you want to answer them and see what type of person you are and no matter what that result is just think to yourself am I where I am suppose to be. When I wrote these questions I was at my job which I love to do, it made me think about the kids' future and what they might become in the future and if they would follow their heart or mind.

First questions are; when do you realize that it's finally goodbye? When do you know to give up? When do you see what you are worth? When do you know when better things come along? When do you realize what you are doing will impact the world around?

Second questions are; where do you want to go to get peace? Where do you want to live? Where is your happy place? Where would like to travel? Where does love and happiness come from?

Third questions are; what is definition of yourself? What is love and happiness? What value are you to this world? What makes you believe in life? What makes you fall for love?

Fourth questions are; who influences your actions? Who is in control? Who believes in you or not? Who questioning you, for who you are? Who is the person you want to be?

Lastly, the fifth questions are; why do you think the way you do? Why are you the way you are? Why do we fall for love and happiness? Why do we care so much? Why is it important to be yourself?

I answered these questions and found out that I need to be a little bit selfish. Also that everything in life happens for a reason and you cannot control what happens. In addition to that what I have learned is that I need to let go of the past and live in the present and hope that future is bright.

Once you are done answering these questions see your answers and evaluate yourself. Maybe it is time for a change or you are doing what makes you happy. Just know that everyone questions everything they do after it happens. I hope you realize that you need to figure out who you are before letting anyone decide for you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
