Growing up being the only girl in your family can make you or break you. Football games in your pretty holiday dress and getting sat on while your brothers played video games may not have been the ideal family vacation. However, having built-in body guards and your brothers' friends to get to know never hurt. Being the only girl in the family is everything from a blessing to a nightmare in sports gear for these reasons:
1. You were always the extra player on their team, whether or not you could actually play.
2. Trying to go out in crop top? Short shorts? Something low-cut? Think again.
3. Your brothers' favorite night of the week was when your friends slept over.
4. In exchange, you got to flirt with all their cute friends -- though they would often embarrass you for it later.
5. They were always there to watch out for you, no matter what kind of trouble you got yourself into.
6. Your brothers got way too much enjoyment out of scaring your boyfriends.
7. You learned everything you could possibly need to know about boys from living with them for years.
8. You are forever their guru to understanding girls (seriously, they could not have gotten a date without your help).
9. Your brothers have always had difficultly accepting that you're an actual girl.
10. You want to watch a movie? It better have fast cars and explosions.
11. Your brothers made fun of you for everything: clothes, music, haircuts, you name it.
12. You are stronger a person for having survived as the only girl in a house of crazy boys.
13. When you finally got to go to college and live with another girl, it was magical! And a little over whelming at times.
14. Your friends make fun of you for talking like a boy.
15. You have to remember that not all dinners end in an eating contest.
16. You get to be the princess everyday, because there is no one to compete with for the position.
17. You wouldn't change a second of how you grew up because you love your spot as the only girl.
