Let me begin by telling you that I am a mixture of Lithuanian, Russian and Polish.
Let me begin explaining to you what it is like to date a woman from a culture other than yours. Now don't get me wrong romance is a very special thing and it so difficult to get the idea out of anyone's head.
There are just a few differences, Polish women are a little more crazier than other women. My mother and father have been married for the past 20 some years and I finally realized that us Polish women are completely insane. Just recently I got off the phone with my aunt and the first thing she asked me is "why aren't you married?" The important things such as "How is college going" ,"How do you feel about graduating.. or actually being the first one in your family with a degree?!" No, instead I was asked when am I getting married. I think Polish women are obsessed with the idea of belonging to someone. I realized that recently since my friends call me serial monogamist and I received this wonderful trait from my mother.
What to expect when dating a Polish women:
1. We are obnoxiously loud. I am not joking we are ridiculously loud, and we think that getting our point out to the general population we have to yell and make sure everyone hears us.
2. We feed everyone. Seriously, with last crumbs of bread I will make sure that those break crumbs end up in someone else's stomach rather than mine. We overfeed people. Take my mother for example, if you walk into my house you are being fed even if you ate. There is no escape.
3. We love unconditionally. We love everyone, no matter the damage you did to us, we will always love people and will always make sure that the person who did wrong is taken care of before myself.
4. If you piss us off, you will know. Don't get me wrong, some of us need to work on our temper and our anger. Do not, and I repeat do not piss a Polish woman off because it will be months before she forgives you, yet alone years before she lets the issue go. Trust me I learned that the hard way.
5. We take pride in our education and success. Trust me if you fall in love with a Polish woman she will love you, but her education and success will always comes first. Success is the key as my mother liked to say.
Please keep in mind we are crazy, and loud and educated but just keep in mind we are not ordinary women. We are strange, loud, annoying and moody but we know what it is like to truly love someone.
