Who can handle too much stress?

What is stress? Stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances. Everyone goes through a bit of stress; it can affect anyone's life physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. There are so many factors that cause stress that many will lose count. Stress is caused by friendships, relationships, sports, schoolwork and the careless actions people mistakenly take. Mistakes can cause so much stress, because arguments lead to making that mistake when a decision was made to make that mistake.

Slight stress is good for the body to keep someone working hard, but too much stress can cause long-term emotional complications and other destructive complications. One can only go through so much stress and still be able to handle it. Stress can be an ongoing rollercoaster or just a five second ride; this all matters how mentally and emotionally strong your mind is. The mind is powerful, but once you let it slip, it can change your whole life around.

Dealing with stress is not easy either, and making someone battle stress can be harder than battling a bunch of bees trying to sting one person. There are many ways to deal with stress, but everyone does not deal with it in the same way. Meditation and yoga are two great ways to relax the mind and deal with stress in a peaceful way. The way I dealt with stress while in college last semester was going to the gym every morning and making sure I got one hour in every Monday-Friday. This made me mentally prepared to face anything and gave me that motivation to continue going throughout the day. Some may not think college is stressful, but once it gets to a certain month and that workload accumulates, it gets tough. Stress is an obstacle that can come anytime, and fighting it can be easy if you know how to push it away. It can be a mosquito trying to bite you, but you have to keep swatting it away from you.

Some people think anger and stress are the same, but they are two completely different concepts. Anger is what you let out when something makes you feel that way or does something to make you angry. Stress is what causes the anger, sadness or emotion. School can change someone so much that they do not recognize themselves. Stress can change someone so much that they do not know who they are anymore. I find stress to be a gateway to more success and hard work that I get to put out there. Never let stress take over your body, and make sure that it makes you do good for yourself.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
