High school. Two words, a noun, definition: a school that comprises grades 9 through 12. Place of learning. Basically a center for teaching, that turns into a place of stupidity.

Everyone has different high school experiences, but you all go to class, learn, and hopefully graduate after four years of hell. These are 20 of those moments that only happen in high school.

1. When there is an obvious flow of traffic in the hallway, and there is that one person walking the opposite way.

2. When there is a block in the middle of the hall because of that one annoying couple is cuddling in the hall.

3. Locker blockers...need I say more? Just saying I know you have friends, because they are all always in front of my locker, but seriously when I need to get to my locker and to my books, MOVE!

4. When you get pushed out of someone's way just for them to pass you, and slowly walk in front of you.5. When you get shoved out of the way and drop your books, for the person to rush past you and gives you an ugly look when THEY shoved you.

6. When you walk into your classroom as the bell rings and your teacher makes you leave to get a tardy pass7. Writing on the bathroom walls.....need I say more? It's not like it's meaningful stuff, it's drawing pictures and talking about other people. Seriously, grow up.

8. Having to physically move someone out of your way because they stand there and don't move. We all should be going to class, so please move and not give me dirty looks when I move for you.

9. When four or five people stand in the doorway to your classroom and refuse to move for you, and won't let you in 10. When you accidentally bump into someone and they start muttering under their breath about you to their friends.

11. When you open a new pack of gum and the whole class swarms you asking for a piece, and you tell them no, then they start pulling the 'aw you don't like me card'. Yeah, that's because I don't.

`12. That one person who blares their music way too loud, and makes everyone else loose their phone privileges...

13. The one friend who continuously falls asleep in class, and then complain about not knowing the material, or say we haven't learned this yet right before the test.

14. When the disrespectful student finally gets in trouble, and then proceeds to yell at the teacher, and complains about having to go to ISS.

15. When your locker gets stuck and you have people on all sides watching you struggle and not helping.

16. When you have food and one person you never even talks to asks for some and you say no, and they complain really loud about how much of a bad person you are.....17. The new teacher who pairs you with the person you despise the most, and your best friend gives you the sympathy look, and then starts laughing.

18. When you have a substitute and they actually try to make you do your work.

19. When you forgot you had a quiz and everyone else remembered and rubbed it in your face.

20. The last day of your group project with all the people that don't do their own work.

High School is everything people make it out to be, even better sometimes. There will always be people who make you question their sanity, but those people and moments make your high school career ten times better (sometimes)

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
