12 Reasons Why Humanity Should Be So Grateful For Dogs

What did we ever do to deserve dogs? If you're like me, your voice goes to some ungodly high pitch and you make up words that come out of nowhere when you pet a dog. And no matter how much you try to contain it, it's nearly impossible when you see a dog in public. Lately, there has been a debate about whether or not dogs are better than cats. Rest assured that dogs are the better companion.

1. Puppies!

How can you not like puppies? The puppy breath, the flimsy limbs, the big tummies, the hyper play time, and the cute cuddles. I would die if I had the chance to play with these two for an hour.

2. Dogs in Clothes

This is everything. Did you see how chill the dog looked after being dressed? Like yeah, I know, I'm a bada**. Also, puppies in onesies are the cutest things ever.

3. The Cuddles

I love when dogs get all lovey dovey and cuddly. It's probably my favorite thing to go home, sit on the couch, and have my big dog think he's a lap dog.

4. They are hilarious

Dogs are funnier than most humans I know. Like, for instance, how they go from 0 to 100, from sleeping in their bed to sprinting around the house for no reason.

5. Nothing but personality

I've never met any dog that was similar to another, personality-wise. The character of a dog is everything.

6. They are a personal vacuum

Once I moved away for college, I missed being able to drop food and have my dogs come running to me within seconds. I have now invested in a broom, but I'm sure having a personal puppy is so much better.

7. Loyalty

These little adorable guys are always there for you, helping you do the most random things at the most random times. This is love.

8. The Head Tilt

The cuteness overload is so much. I can't deal with how adorable head tilts are. Once you find what tilts your dog's head, you will not stop. It's the sweetest thing.

9. They are not only dogs but fish as well

Dogs that swim are probably the cutest thing. Look at this cute little guy. Part cuteness, part dog, part fish.

10. Great with Children

Instead of hiring a nanny for your future children, have your dog watch your kids. They can do it all! If your kids are big enough, you also have a free mini horse as well.

11. Their guilty faces

Denver the Lab is known to make the best guilty faces. However, dogs make the most adorable guilty faces, that make you feel bad, want to apologize, and give them hugs and kisses and treats and just cuddle.

12. The kisses

They are so presh. Dog kisses (especially puppy kisses) are the best thing known to mankind. If that's not love, I'm not sure what is.

So, to end this debate, dogs in fact are the superior companion animal. They're just big, fat, furry balls of love and personality. They aren't just animals, they're friends, family, and a personal alarm clock. They hold much more of a meaning than just an animal in your home. Have you ever come home from a regular day and had your dog hyper and excited to see you? They are so excited to see that their human has come back to give them love and attention. Their world just came back from hours of absence. You're their world, and the least we can do is make them a part of ours.

If you are ever interested in dog or a puppy always look at adopting at your local humane society first. I'm pawsitivley sure you will fall in love.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!
