My Heart Cries Out To Earth

Our lovely planet suffers, not just naturally but also the people on it, yet not all of us care.

My Heart Cries Out To Earth

There is a fire on one of our lungs in The Amazonian. It took weeks for it to be reported on the news and social media. It took weeks for people around the globe to realize the impact this fire has on our planet. There have been multiple mass shootings, and no one is trying to understand why a teen would go to such extreme.

Some people believe climate change is a lie. The level of the ocean is getting higher and higher; the icebergs are slowly melting, strange weather phenomenon is occurring. For instance, two years ago it snowed in Florida. Yes, in Florida. This year, a hurricane for the first time during my lifetime, passed close to my home. Season changes take longer to take place; winter is long, the summer heat is higher than the normal.

Although we have made progress on human rights, we still need a lot of work to do for humanity. We are mean to each other. People with mental illness are viewed as though they are doing that for attention. We see people that seek help for their health as weak. It isn't vulnerable to seek advice for your health; you're not calling out for attention by speaking about your mental illness or sexuality.

We are killing each other through racial biased, fear, and lack of understanding. We are killing animals for entertainment rather than survival. The older generation blames the younger generations for what is happening to our planet. The truth is we are trying to fix the planet from mistakes done years ago, mistakes that no one predicted was going to lead what we are going through nowadays. There is no generation to blame, what we should be doing is joining forces to save our home, Earth.

Good news is green movements have been getting implemented in multiple countries. A group of people is planting trees through the mountain range of our continent. There are gathering forces to stop the fire in the Amazonian. The Republic of Panama has banned the use of plastic bags -yes, Panama, the country that I thought was never going to catch up on making a green movement. I am from that country, and I am so proud of them.

In multiple countries, the use of metal straws is in motion as well as rewarding costumers who use their recycled bags. The new generation is coming forth open-minded, more ecological, and ready to make our planet a better place.

birthday party

My birthday has never been my favorite holiday. I've found that I'm more excited to celebrate my friends' and family members' birthdays more than my own. I don't like being the center of attention, so I usually celebrate over dinner with a small group of family and friends. This way, I can enjoy myself naturally without feeling like I have to entertain everyone and make sure they are satisfied. In the past when I've had large parties, I was so nervous that people weren't perfectly content that I didn't enjoy myself at my own celebration.

College Informations

Most of us have already started the spring semester, and for those of you who haven't started yet, you suck.

It seems like coming back from winter break wouldn't really be a break all things considered, since we all come back to school and pick up right where we left off. We know exactly what to expect, yet we're unprepared every single time.

I'm serious

There are tons of unisex names that are popular: Taylor, Alex, Bailey, etc. There are also numerous names that are used for both sexes, but they’re not seen as “unisex” yet. People are slowly becoming accustomed to the dual use of these names, but for the most part, in their minds they associate certain names with certain sexes. And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

You know that all of these things apply to you. You'll just never tell.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
