At least at some point in college, you will experience the weird, the wacky, and the downright confusing stages of dating in college. Sometimes, you go on a date, and you end up dating that person. Other times, the date ends in such a disaster that you wont be able to live it down for a long, long time.
Anyhow, here's the weird, the wacky, the great, and the sometimes unfortunate stages of dating in college.
1. You walk into class, or you happen to be with your best friend.
All of the sudden, you see someone and say, "He/she is so hot", or sometimes, you're with a friend, and you start thinking of that person in a different light
Or, you happen to be scrolling through Ok Cupid, or swiping right on half of your choices on Tinder, until you happen to see that one special person that makes you go "wow."
2. You see that person again (or you can't stop looking at their Ok Cupid profile.)
You realize that you cant stop thinking about them. Their hair, their body; finally you get the courage to go and talk to/message them.
3. After a couple of weeks, you and your fling start hanging out.
After a couple of times of just hanging out, your fling finally asks you on a date.. or you ask them out on a date..
4. You anxiously start preparing for the first date, asking for advice from your friends.
Go on all of these god-awful dating advice websites that are of no help.
5. Finally, the date happens.
You go somewhere with your date. You're both nervous as hell because the both of you don't know what you are doing.
6. The date either goes really well, or really terribly.
Really well:
Really badly:
7. So if the date goes really well, great! Advance on with the relationship!
If the date doesn't go well...
Dating in college is in some ways like dating in high school. You attempt to find the fish in the sea that fits you the best, or that you feel that you are the most compatible with. At the same time, though, it's so much better than high school, because there are more options out there. It's not like you are stuck in the box with the same people constantly (well, okay, unless you go to Stetson, but then again, there's always dating someone at a bigger school). You can date whoever you want, whenever you want. The possibilities are endless!
