After a summer of either being lazy or working yourself into oblivion, the school year has finally arrived! But alas, with the arrival of school comes the arrival of many interesting situations and exciting adventures that are unique to the first week of school. And, the best way to tell the story of these experiences is to consult our favorite Disney characters. So, here are a few things that will probably happen to you on the first week of school.
1. You will be overwhelmed with the excitement of having an actual social life.
"For the first time in forever, I won't be alone!"
2. You'll try out a bunch of clubs that don't really make sense, but still sound interesting.
3. You will start doing homework, then come to the conclusion that you magically forgot how to write papers over the summer.
And how to do math problems and how to read and how to do anything, really. It's funny how this works.
4. You'll probably break down and cry at some point, too.
You may use a whole roll of toilet paper to blow your nose as well, because you forgot to bring tissues when you moved into your dorm.
5. But then, you'll see all of the free food offered on campus and you'll feel better about life.
6. Speaking of food, you'll feel like you've gained about 10 pounds after the first week of access to the dining hall, the snacks your parents bought you and everything else.
Plus, there's an on-campus Starbucks on your way to class every morning, so there's no way to resist that.
7. But, it will all be worth it in the end, because food will be the only thing that gets you through the week.
8. You probably won't get very much sleep.
9. Which is why coffee will be the second thing that keeps you alive (besides food, of course).
10. Despite being fully caffeinated, the amount of syllabus information you're going to cover in each class will put you right to sleep.
Don't you love how each professor has to read all of the school's expectations? As if you haven't heard it all five times already...
11. You will have to learn how to deal with your roommates, which is an experience in itself.
(Hopefully they won't turn out like Randy Boggs did)
12. And you will also learn how to stop caring about how you look when you drag yourself to your 8 AM class every morning.
13. But, in the end, you'll still enjoy it all and you'll be ready to start all over again for your second week of college!
