The news media has been very persistent about writing and sending articles about anything political they can get their hands. The problem is, most of that news is false and not ran by facts. Instead of a factual website, we are starting to see third party websites take over the internet spreading gossip about Trump and other political figures making people think very irrational.
"This isn't your typical political article, I promise, this is just fake news." See, wouldn't you have exited out of this article right away instead of wasting your time reading it. The problem is that articles don't bluntly say that, but if they did I guarantee you would think twice about pushing that share button on Facebook. So why are we seeing so many hateful articles on social media now that makes so many not even want to look at the internet anymore because they're tired of the political crap. Articles about women's rights, cabinet elections, and unconstitutional acts. I've stopped even looking at Facebook because of so many articles speaking against the leader of our country.
Perhaps you like him or perhaps you don't. This article isn't about arguing who's political beliefs are right. I'm rather making fun of the fact that the media is so out of control about politics that people want far away from it including me and this is coming from a political science minor! The funny thing is, the reason why people liked Trump so much was because he wasn't a typical political person. The media and people have gone so far in attacking the political world though that even his ten year old son was attacked on social media. This was outraging to me as I have a ten year old sister and if anyone ever did anything like that to her, I would beat their little butt. Even Melania Trump was skeptical about entering the political world simply because she knew they would be attacked by the media. But she stood by her man and in my opinion has been a very good role model as First Lady elect and now First Lady.
Another ridiculous thing that makes me irate about the media is that the Women's March was publicized, but the March for Life wasn't. Why should one be put over the other? Both of them are equally important as anyone has freedom of speech in the United States.
Fake news has spread so much over the course of two weeks that the internet isn't even reliable at all anymore. Someone once said, "If we lie to the government, it's a felony. If they lie to us, it's politics." I say, if we lie to the media, it's false sources. If they lie to us, it's unreliable gossip. Please consider what you are reading and double check to see if it is true before you push share. Like it or not, Trump is our new president and he deserves respect!
