There are those who play video games, and then there are those who watch them. My name is AllieV and I am among the few that simply find joy in watching other people play video games. I have actually played video games, but prefer to watch them given the choice. I have a few reasons why watching people play is just as fun:
1. If you want to buy a certain game but are unsure if you'll like it or not, watching another person play it will/could help in your decision.
2. If/When the person playing the game messes up somewhere, you can make a note of where and how they did it so when you go to play you won't make the same mistake.
3. You get to see how impressive/awkward the game's animation is and decide if the game's worth playing based on that.
4. If the game has a story mode, you can figure out if the story is compelling or bland before trying it out yourself. (My brother must find most of his games' stories bland because all he plays is the campaign mode.)
5. It's a great way to waste a few hours if you find yourself bored with nothing to do.
There are many people who post videos of their gameplay on YouTube, and that's where I've gone to watch some of my favorite games be played. I would highly recommend checking out the YouTuber MKIceandFire. In my opinion, his videos are the best and he mostly seems to know what he's doing. He has at least a hundred video games, if not more, posted on his channel, so I guarantee that he has done something for everyone to watch and enjoy. I've watched I don't know how many incredible games on his channel, and most of them I'd never even heard of! Look him up if you ever want to watch something epic.
And to anyone who says that playing video games is more fun, I say to you, to each their own.
