Victoria's Secret is one of the most popular lingerie stores in the U.S. and in the world. Victoria's Secret is known for their popular lingerie and apparel in their stores. It has a very popular fan base as well. Victoria's Secret, is known for their skinny and slim women and their big fashion show event every year, but do you know Victoria's Secret has had their fair share of backlash to their company and their brand. Yes, Victoria's Secret has high sales volume, plus revenue and a tone of brand awareness, but, their brand image isn't doing so well.
Victoria's Secret brand image is tainting because of certain situations that the brand is going through. They're is getting a lot of backlash from recent activities that the company has done now and over the years. The brand of Victoria's Secret is still the same but the way that they are going about things aren't right at all. It seems like Victoria's Secret doesn't care about their brand at all.
Now, I'm going to talk about the recent backlash Victoria's Secret is dealing with now and in the past.
Victoria's Secret has been in the media a lot lately. They have been in the media for a tone of controversy dealing with body shaming and body image issues. Both body shaming and body imaging issues has been tainting Victoria's Secret brand image a lot. We all know, that Victoria's Secret is known for their tall and skinny models. But, recently Victoria's Secret is now dealing with the fact that they sell plus-size lingerie but doesn't advertise the plus-size on their website.Victoria's Secret has some plus-size lingerie in their stores, but most of their plus-size items are online. I would think that Victoria's Secret would advertise and promote the plus-size lingerie. This is a huge issue that they are having at the moment. This is a very controversy topic and Victoria's Secret is having trouble with this issue a lot. This is one reason why their brand image is suffering a lot today.
Another issue that Victoria's Secret is having is mainly about photo shopping their models to make them look different. In the past and recently Victoria's Secret has been photo shopping their models to make them look extremely skinny and very tall. They have gotten plenty of backlash because of this issue. This is a bad image to have for their brand.
The last issue that Victoria's Secret is attracting the wrong customers. Every time I go into Victoria's secret I notice that there are pre-teens are shopping in Victoria's Secret.I think Victoria's Secret is attracting a younger audience and I don't think this is good for the brand. I think that Victoria's Secret need to establish their target customer.
I think that Victoria's Secret needs to work hard on maintaining their brand image and focus on uplifting their brand image to increase their brand awareness more. I think once Victoria's Secret work on their controversy issues, they can then increase their brand image.
