Wanderlust can be summed up as an aspiration to travel and truly see what this wondrous world has to offer. Since the beginning of time, people have contemplated the meaning of life. In my opinion, life is about fueling your soul through love and happiness. It is about creating experiences and making memories to hold close to yourself forever. With that being said, the Earth that we have the privilege to live on is composed of 79 percent water and 21 percent land. While it would be absolutely amazing to be able to see all of it, most people aren't so blessed; life is simply too short. So, what exactly are the must see escapades?
1. Hiking the Inca Trail

The Inca Trail lies in Peru and runs through the Andes Mountains. In total, the hike takes 3-4 days and gives you the chances to walk through historical ruins that lead to Machu Picchu. Aside from the historic side, you'll also be surrounded by the beautiful nature of the cloud forest. Could it get any better?
2. Hot Air Ballooning over Cappadocia
Cappadocia is located in Turkey. By taking a hot air balloon early in the morning, you get the trifecta that is the epitome of perfection — a sunrise, cool morning air, and seeing the rock formations from a birds-eye view. Such an irreplaceable experience.Photo Credit: travel.nationalgeographic.com
3. Adding to the Love Locks in Prague

The Charles Bridge in Prague is overburdened with locks attached their by lovers. Star-crossed lovers from around the globe come to attach a lock and throw the key into the river — an eternal attachment. It is breathtaking to see the locks on top of each other surrounded by beautiful graffiti in the middle of Prague (which is, personally, my favorite city ever).
4. Touring the Eilean Castle in Scotland

If you've ever watched any Disney movies as a child or ever dreamed of being a prince or a princess, then this is a must do. This castle, dating from the 13th century, is on an island where the three great sea lochs meet each other. It's architecture is towering and stunning and it is surrounded by lush green landscape and crystal water. It actually looks like the backdrop straight out of "Sleeping Beauty."

5. Visiting the Dubai Miracle Garden

Usually plants and such are associated with lushness, precipitation, and things of that nature. However, this garden, which has over 45 million flowers of over 45 varieties is literally in the middle of a desert. The flowers line not only the ground, but also envelope the buildings and form outlandish shapes. It's actually a living rainbow right in front of your eyes.
6. Riding a Gondola through Venice

The main mode of transportation throughout this Italian city is a boat. Why? Because the city is covered in canals. By riding on the gondola, you get to see the stone buildings rise above you and the cute alleyways peaking in between. And, if you're really lucky, your tour guide will sing in his rustic Italian accent — a truly authentic experience.
7. The Grand Canyon New Year Hike
If you've ever seen the Grand Canyon, you'll know what I mean when I say that there are really no words to describe it. The red rocks seem to roll on for all an eternity. Now, imagine ringing in a brand new year at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon and seeing the sun beams glisten off of the snow. Imagine sleeping under an unfathomable amount of stars. You will literally be hiking through a winter wonderland.8. Going on an African Safari Tour
If you know me, you know that I am a total lover of animals. It is one of my dreams to go on an African Safari. You will actually be roaming through the natural and unaltered world of all the beautiful creatures. You'll have the opportunity to see actual predator-prey relationships and parents caring for their young. Depending on where it is in Africa, different species of animals will be present. Either way, it'll be the experience of a lifetime.Photo Credit: faroutcity.com
9. Wandering through the Largest Corn Maze

Located in Dixon, California, this corn maze is like nothing you ever explored as a young child. This thing is 63 acres large. To put things into perspective, that's about the size of 48 football fields together. It's not uncommon for people to get lost trying to find their way out — some have even had to dial 911. Imagine the stories that you will be able to share after this stop.
10. Drinking Coffee in Ethiopia

I am a coffee fanatic and Ethiopia is literally where coffee was first created. Short and simple: this would be a life-altering beverage
