Your Ultimate Finals Survival Kit

Finals are an extremely stressful time of year, and everyone is on edge. People will be camping out in the library or any other place they can get a quiet place to study. Some people pack their backpack for the day and don't return back to their room until the sun is down. Others still spend several hours nose deep in textbooks and notes. No matter who you are, finals weeks is filled with anxiety. Here are some items you need to survive finals.

1. An Empty Bucket

It may take up a lot of room, but this bucket is essential for catching all of your tears. You can even use the water caught to water plants and save the environment.

2. Pencils

Sure you may need to write some papers or notes, but the real reason you should use them is to pry your eyes open when you are almost asleep and need to do work.

3. Band-Aids

If you have been reading a lot, chances are you might end up with a paper cut. Keep band-aids handy to patch up your battle wounds.

4. A Pillow

After a long day of hard work, you will not only want but deserve a nap. Take a pillow with you, so you can sleep without losing your table.

5. Headphones

Listening to music is all good and fun, but you really need headphones to drown out the sound of your own sobs.

6. Pajamas

If you do not plan on leaving your studies, you should at least be comfortable! Pack, or wear, your coziest matching pajama set.

7. Your Toothbrush

Again, in case you never want to leave the library but also do not want bad breath, pack your handy dandy toothbrush to freshen up your mouth!

8. A Reaching Tool

You know those fancy tools with the clamp on the end? Get one of those to reach for your materials spread all around the table. It will be like you have super long arms.

9. Books

Sure you can actually read these books, but the best use of them is to bang your head repeatedly with them.

10. Markers

If you are a creative person, or not, you can use markers for good and evil. Specifically, when your friends fall asleep studying, draw cute little designs on their faces for fun.

11. A Computer

When a study break arises, whip out your computer to watch some cute videos of dogs running around. There is no better use for that thousand dollar piece of machinery.

12. Water

After all of the sweating and crying, you will need to replenish all of your liquids.

13. An IV

This is the best way to get that caffeine directly into your bloodstream.

14. Music

This is important for when you need an impromptu dance party.

15. Many, Many Snacks

When you get hungry, you are going to want food. Most importantly, when you get sad, you will want to eat your feelings.

16. Paper

Maybe you will write notes, but you are more likely to make some bomb paper airplanes. Try and hit your friends across the room!

17. Stress Ball

You should use this for exactly what it sounds like. Squeeze that ball.

18. Deodorant

It is important to stay dry and smelling like roses after sweating so much.

19. A Bag of Glitter

Keep it on your desk to remind you sparkle, even when you do not feel like it. If need be, sprinkle a little on yourself.

20. Friends

Although they can be distracting at times, it is important to have some friends to keep you sane as you get crazier and crazier as each day passes.

In all seriousness, finals week is one of the most stressful times in your college career. Maybe some of these items will help you get through it all. Take your time, study hard, and stay healthy. Good luck to everyone! You will kill it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
