A Typical Week Of College, As Told By "The Office"

A Typical Week Of College, As Told By "The Office"

Ah, college. Although the school year will be over before we know it, making it through a week of classes can be exhausting. Some days seem to drag on and on, while others are over before you're able to blink! Even though no two weeks of college are the same, I've found that there are certain aspects of each day that never seem to change. And this got me thinking, if any TV characters are capable of relating to our everyday struggles, it is most certainly the cast of "The Office." Here's life as college students know it, as told by your favorite characters from "The Office."

Monday:

Well, it's that time again. Time to prep yourself for the sleepless nights full of homework and studying that are to come.

That first walk to class feels more brutal than usual, and you're praying to get into the swing of things already. You only have two minutes left until your first class and the sea of people to maneuver around is endless.

You're completely unamused by the length of your to-do list and you know you're in for a long week.

Tuesday:

Quite possibly the most irrelevant day of the week. You're not feeling quite as hopeless as you might have on Monday, but it's still too far away from Friday to be excited.

Despite the amount of work you have, your number one priority is deciding on when you want to take your daily nap.

When you realize taking a nap doesn't seem like an option anymore, you down coffee like it's your job.

Wednesday:

You made it to "hump day" and hope is in sight! Odds are you're exhausted and hanging on by a thread at this point, but at least you have tonight to look forward to! (Yes, Bucknellians go out on Wednesdays.)

You know it wouldn't be wise to go out considering you still have two days of classes to get through, but you convince yourself you deserve a night off.

One friend tries to remind you that this probably isn't the best idea, but your only response to that is:

Thursday:

You wake up the next morning and instantly regret your decision to go out last night.

You struggle to keep your eyes open in class and it has become clear you desperately need the weekend.

All you want to do is mentally check out for the week, but you know that's not an option yet and struggle to stay focused.

Friday:

Yes, you made it! Yet another week has passed and you've never been more pumped for the weekend.

You finally walk out of your last class and leave all of your responsibilities behind.

You and your friends are ready to celebrate making it through another week, and reward yourselves by letting loose!

Saturday:

You wake up the next morning and probably cringe at some of the choices you made last night.

Your day consists of nothing but stuffing your face, napping and binge watching TV.

Then finally, the time comes to get off your lazy butt and do it all over again.

Sunday:

Inevitably, Sunday rears its ugly head and the day dedicated to laundry, homework and stress is here yet again.

Looking back, you have no idea how the weekend is over already and the thought of another week nauseates you.

After hours of procrastination and wallowing in your own self-pity, you finally hit the hay and brace yourself to take on the next week.

Despite how rough weekdays might feel, the weekends never fail to make up for them. A week of college is far from easy, but I think we can all agree it beats high school by a landslide!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
