You know when you are in a bad mood and you complain to someone and their response is something like “cheer up” or “be happy” and it makes your day that much worse? It's nearly impossible to just change your mood, but don't you worry your annoyed little heart because I've compiled a list of things that are immediate mood improvers and I guarantee at least one will make you smile.

1. Go to your nearest animal shelter/pet store and hold as many small fuzzy animals as you can

The gif alone will make your heart happy.

2. Watch A Cinderella Story…or at least the last 30 minutes

This movie is the best for when you're feeling down. The end is exactly what you expect and it's exactly what you want. The movie is full of amazingly iconic movie clichés. It's a feel good movie and the best part is every time Austin will choose Sam, making your heart melt once again.

3. Call your mom or your sister or your best friend and just vent

They love you so they are obligated to listen to you complain.

4. Read that one nice thing someone once sent you

There's always that one nice text or letter or whatever it is that someone once wrote you that was incredibly heartwarming and we both know you saved it, so go find it and read it. It'll make your heart warm again and help you remember the people around you are great.

5. STOP LISTENING TO SAD SONGS

Put away the emo Drake and listen to hype Drake.

6. Take a nap

Just restart your day

7. Find something that makes you laugh

“Laughter is the best medicine” sounds so clichés but it’s true. So you watch your favorite episode or The Office, read some dad jokes, watch a cat video, or whatever makes you laugh.

8. Eat lots of cookie dough

When was the last time eating cookie dough made you sad? Never. The answer is never.

9. Take a bath

Break out that bad bomb, light some candles, put on a fire playlist, and have some "Me Time" (but make sure everyone on Snapchat sees your bath time aesthetic).

Everyone has bad days and that’s okay. But you don’t want to waste much time moping around, so use one or all these tips and go out and make the day a good one.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
