For anyone following the news recently, everyone will note that current President-elect Donald Trump is up in arms at the Cast of the broadway hit Hamilton for their “terrible behavior.” They asked Vice-President-elect Mike Pence to listen to their speech on protecting American rights and hope that the show helped influence him in the long run. Surprisingly most media outlets are taking the outrage by Trump and blasting it while often times failing to mention the other ground breaking news story to come out this week, Trumps settlement the Trump University lawsuit. Trump University settled with the victims of his fraudulent University for 25 million dollars this past week giving rise to the scandal that has plagued our President-elect during his campaign and now his upcoming office term, begging the now obvious question, what next?
With the election finished and the president-elect throwing fits, what do we, the American people, have to expect coming in the next 4 years? Something to note, is that whenever there is a large almost joke-like controversy that surrounds Trump, it is beginning to seem obvious that we ask, “What’s he trying to hide?” as now it seems that every time there is a large “outrage” or “rant” by Trump about who knows what, some more important, more pressing story is lost by the hilarity and almost depressingly stupid thing that Trump has decided to rant about.
It’s a pattern. Settle some extremely controversial and negative story about Trump and use another not at all controversial and somewhat neutral story and blow it out of proportion to overshadow Trump’s faults. It is a common pattern that frankly is getting old quickly, and as Americans we should start to get mad about this depressingly comical performance that Trump keeps trying to hide the negative aspects about himself.
