Trumped About This Election
Forbes

The presidential electoral campaigns have been in a constant, whirlwind-filled rat race ever since John Adams ran for the second presidency of the United States. Through the 43 past presidents, we’ve seen tight races filled with razor sharp claws and a heightened level of animosity through particularly rugged elections. However, this election is shockingly a contrast to the calm, polite brawls we normally associate with political figures and as November 8th draws closer, the whole globe watches as Donald Trump goes head to head with Hillary Clinton.

The election focuses on everything the hungry media find to be tantalizing. From thousands upon thousands of emails being deleted by Hillary Clinton to the Trump train being tainted with sexual assault allegations, the race to the White House continues to unearth hidden disruptions throughout both parties. Very few people feel “on the fence” about this election, bringing in the folds of vexed citizens looking for the rightful candidate. President Obama himself, has been on the rise of campaigning fiercely for the democratic candidate, Clinton, inciting a level of surprise compared to the past 100 years of former presidents’ lack of concern regarding selecting a campaign to back. Even prestigious media and news crews have been taking a stand, clearly focusing to report on whomever they find worth supporting in this election. Hint: for the most part, Trump continues to take blows from both media outlets as well as notable celebrities and foreign governmental officials. But is Trump a victim or has the press unearthed the truth about this multimillionaire?

Why do people continue to celebrate and revel in the #MAGA Trump train? This seems to be the million dollar question, with some people choosing to forget his lack of experience (and past) and continue to focus on how brilliant his successful enterprise is. The thing is, if you add up all the negative, impactful accounts of who Donald Trump really is, you’ll find he isn’t the perfect, fresh candidate that roughly half of America living under a rock believes him to be.

Ignorance sometimes really is not bliss. Nor is delusion. Unfortunately, a certain Republican candidate seems to encompass both these qualities. Looking at a candidate closely over the past few years, the public scrutiny should be focused on what socioeconomic solutions they approve of or what foreign trade investments the US should retain control of and the opinion of the candidate regarding this. Unfortunately, Trump seems to be transfixed on Obama’s birth certificate and other trivial matters. Do we really want a president to be solely focused on banal matters that have already transpired both in reality and our media years ago?

Trump seemingly has little respect for other governmental officials, both foreign and domestic. This corrosive behavior is regarded as high-risk in any constitutional manner, but having a possible future POTUS showing this behavior is a huge red flag and symbolizes just how unfit this candidate is. This abrasive conduct is just unacceptable.

If any of this isn’t an indicator of how completely terrible Donald Trump would be in the oval office, let us think of the repercussions of his fascist point of views. Donald Trump has claimed numerous times how immigrants should be deported almost as soon as he is making camp in the White House. He also has helped to create an influx of islamic phobia, stating on several occasions that Muslims should be closed from the border for good. The racial discrimination and cultural prejudice Trump stands for is not something America has ever obtained nor stood for. We must think of the future of our nation should we allow someone with these hatred, bigot thoughts to put a strain on our country and jeopardize relationships with neighboring allies.

In the past, I have sometimes disagreed with opinions of politicians regarding specific policies or stances towards important matters like our health care and factors regarding our economic growth. However, despite disagreeing with their stances I never doubted that they were well versed in all things related to the POTUS. Trump is the opposite. Trump blatantly fails to recognize any specific plan regarding military spending, Syrian refugees, Foreign Aid and a whole bunch of other things that are kind of super important to the well-being of our nation. During the previous debates against Clinton and press conferences he has been subject to, he has failed time and time again to affirm what specifically he is willing to do, how much money it will cost and what benefits it will have for the future of our nation. On November 8th, your vote will matter. You can voice the opinion and dictate who will become our 44th president of the United States. Do we really want someone who just decided to try his aim at politics? Or would we rather have someone who has had over thirty years of dedicating her entire life to political matters, has been married to a previous president and has worked for another? This vote will determine not just the next four years of our lives but the future in all it’s entirety. So please, do yourself and our society a favor and vote. Vote.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
