Before I begin this there are a couple of things you should know about me. First of all, I consider myself so lucky to live in this great country. I know that I could have had it much worse if I had been born somewhere else. Secondly, because I do live in this incredible country, I have the right to state my opinion about this topic. Now, let’s get started on this.
In about five months, the American people will make a decision that will affect the country for the next four to eight years. By filling in a bubble with a name beside it, that decision will be locked into place. This year will be my first year voting in a presidential election, let alone any election. I am excited, anxious and impatient to get the ball rolling. With all those emotions I have one more, my fear for this country. I am worried that we have so many uneducated people, young and old, voting this year.
It is basically confirmed that our two presidential nominees will be Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. Those two names are our options for the next president of the United States. Take a breath. I know it's scary. I know so many people that feel very strongly about one candidate or the other. I’ve heard their reasons for and against both Trump and Clinton. I watch and read the news, all types of it. I feel as though I do not fall into the category of the uneducated voters, or at least I’d like to think I don't.
Many people are in the place I am in. I do not want Hillary Clinton to be our next president. I will do anything to avoid that happening, so I am left to vote for Donald Trump. Not until a few months ago did I learn to accept this and even embrace this. I understand that Trump has made some mistakes. He says the wrong things at the wrong time, but I am confident that if he is elected, I will be safe and secure for the next four years at least. I do not support some of his views just like everyone else, but I am learning to look past those to avoid putting Clinton in office.
If you’re curious as to why I do not want Hillary Clinton as our next president here’s why.
Benghazi
Hillary Clinton was the secretary of state at the time of the Benghazi attacks. Four Americans, including the U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens, lost their lives during an attack on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi. Unclear information led to the discovery of emails detailing classified information, which then turned into an investigation. Although no charges are being brought against her at this time, there is still information being looked at to show wrong doing by Clinton. Please take the time to research this event and the aftermath of what followed here and here.
Clinton Foundation
This foundation started by Bill and Hillary supposedly helps build a community among countries and help unprivileged people gain the rights they deserve. Interestingly enough there is documented evidence that this foundation takes money from countries like Saudi Arabia. That country and many others that donate to the Clinton Foundation do not believe the women in their countries deserve the same rights or even some at all. How can this foundation claim to be helping people, including women, obtain rights when they are taking money from countries who don’t even allow women to drive? Bill Clinton and Scandals
Being a woman does not make you a feminist. Standing by your husband when he is unfaithful and associates himself with a pedophile proves that you do not believe in the feminist ideals. Bill Clinton has been documented on a plane more than a few times with a registered sex offender. There were also a few documented times where secret service was not with the former president on this plane with this registered sex offender, which is a big process to make happen. I know so many people that will be voting for Clinton just because she is a woman and they believe she will provide equality for women. Here is a few reasons why voting for Hilary just because she is a woman is the wrong thing to do. Hilary Clinton’s husband, former president Bill Clinton, has been involved with scandal after scandal. From the Monica Lewinski incident, to “orgy island” reports, I feel Mr. Clinton is a ghastly human being and a disgrace as a husband. Hillary has stood by him through all of this. Some might say “good for her for going through all of that and coming out stronger” or “she’s a tough woman for sticking with Bill." I call BS on all of that. How can anyone, let alone a woman, support Hillary Clinton when she stays and supports a person like Bill Clinton? For more details on these scandals please research and look at this website and this one as well.
After all of this, you may be thinking I am a Trump supporter. To that I say, no, I am not. I do not agree with all of Trump’s views or actions, but I do not think this nation cannot afford to have another Clinton in office. In turn, that means I will be doing what is necessary voting-wise to keep Hillary Clinton from becoming the next president of the United States. Come this November, I will be making the toughest decision of my life but I know I want to keep my future family and myself safe. The only way that will be possible is for Donald Trump to be elected the next President of the United States of America.
