The time of year where you write the wrong date on the paper for weeks has come. 2016 is coming to an end, and the hopes of a better year are upon us. Yes, 2016 has been a rough year for us all. Although, I feel like I look at every year as a rough year. I may have struggled a lot, but what is a good year without some struggle? You don't climb mountains without training. I must look back and count my blessings. But I have also decided to go into 2017 with a better mindset. I'm not making resolutions that I know I won't keep. I am making resolutions that will make me a happier person in 2017.
1. Stop crying over G-Eazy and go work out like the bad bitches he dates.
2. You are not allowed to cry over something you "wish" had happened unless you genuinely tried to make it happen.
3. Don't allow a day to go by without doing something that gets you closer to your creative goals as an artist.
4. When you are sad, reach out to someone else to make happy. It works, I promise.
5. If he doesn't care, you shouldn't either. Now delete that text message draft and pull yourself together.
6. Allow yourself to get lost completely in the music. Stop caring how your body rolls look. No one is really paying attention.
7. Drink less to forget. Work harder to make them remember.
8. Whenever you say, "I love you," think of three reasons why that person means so much to you. Make your love mean something.
9. Don't just pray when asking for healing. Give a prayer of thanksgiving.
10. Write more.
11. Reach out more and have more fun at parties. You are fun.
12. Do something every week that scares the shit out of you.
13. Sing more around friends. It doesn't matter you don't have talent, you have passion.
14. Talk more about what you love. Don't be ashamed of the things that set you on fire.
15. If you can tell he just wants you in bed, immediately block his number. Please just do this.
16. Trust your friends more.
17. When you ask, How are you?" actually stop and listen for the answer.
18. Call your parents and grandparents more.
19. Text your brother more encouragement.
20. Constantly make your own adventure.
