If you are anything like me, you could lay down and take a nap anywhere. Even after waking up and eating breakfast, I could go back to sleep for hours. Call me crazy, but being a college student is exhausting. On top of being busy with something 24/7, I could always use more rest. Here are the top five struggles of always being a sleepy person.
1. When someone asks how you are, you always fight the urge to say "I'm tired, how are you?"
You don't want to tell people every day how tired you are! You just smile and say, "I'm good, how are you?" Must. Hide. Exhaustion. Time for the concealer and coffee, am I right?
2. There is a never ending need for caffeine.
Even if you're not a coffee drinker, you need to have some sort of caffeine to get you through the day. You have about a million things to do and never enough time to do them all. What could we possibly drink to help us through? Good ol' coffee is always in clutch.
3. When your friends ask what you are doing later, and you try to make a better excuse than "napping."
Because what would any afternoon be like without taking a quick 20 minute, or hour, snooze? Pretty bad I could imagine. You should really go out and hang out more but you know that you'll regret not sleeping more later.
4. Procrastination becomes your middle name. Literally.
It becomes so hard to get anything done. Once you get all warm and snuggled up in bed, is there any way to be productive? I don't think so. You will make time tomorrow to do your work right?
5. You have been known to fall asleep in the middle of doing something.
You could have been texting, on the phone, or even getting ready to shower, but chances are you fall asleep before you can do anything. You tell yourself that you're about to get up and do something and you are asleep before you know it. Time for more coffee.
Remember, you need at least 7 to 8 hours of sleep a night! Yeah right, I know. More like 10 to 12.
