Everyone has different things that annoy them, yet there are certain, small actions which annoy me the most. Here are my top five pet peeves:

People who constantly have a negative attitude

I cannot stand when I encounter a person who has a negative attitude towards everything. I understand that everyone has a bad day and even a bad week, but I really dislike it when I am talking to someone and all they do is bring the mood down with negativity. There is always some good in each day, so just take the time to see the blessings in your life instead of always focusing on things which make you sad and upset.

People who ask you a question but don’t listen to your answer

There is nothing worse than feeling like your opinion does not matter. This happens to me the most when in a group and someone will ask a question, then continues to answer their own question instead of listening to the other people’s answers.

People being on their phones while we are talking

This is a big pet peeve for me. If we are having a conversation, please look up from your phone. I promise, whatever is on your phone will be there after the two minutes it takes to finish speaking to me. It is very rude to be scrolling through Instagram while someone else is trying to tell you a story. When you are with friends and family, set your phone down for a while and just live in the moment. I swear, your unopened snapchats and unread texts can wait, they are not as important as the people standing in front of you.

People asking how you are as they pass by

Although this seems like a nice and polite thing to do when you see a friend or acquaintance, it personally annoys me. I am not a fan of small talk in general, but this especially upsets me. I know that you do not care how I am doing as I walk to class because if you really wanted to know we would grab lunch together or at least have a conversation over text!

People who chew their food and gum loudly

This is a popular pet peeve for many people. Just be mindful of how loud you are chewing, especially if you are in class. Please do not chew and pop your gum so loud, seriously people are trying to concentrate.

Although I have a couple more, these are my personal top five pet peeves!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
