It is unfortunate to see that some amazing music is not being listened to time and time again. This is because people have been picking the wrong stations. I must admit I am generally an alternative rock junkie, but I have listened to my fair share of music genres. A while back when I got a new phone, instead of tampering with iTunes, I decided to give Pandora more attention. I now listen to the app religiously and have been able to find the best stations ever. Like ever.
1. The Summer Hits of the '90s Radio
I think it is safe to say that this station is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Some examples of the beauty played are "Semi-Charmed Life" by Third Eyed Blind, "3 AM" by Matchbox 20, "Hanginaround" by Counting Crows, and many, many other fabulous hits from the last decade of the twentieth century.
2. Let Me Love You Radio
"Let Me Love You" by Mario was released in 2004 and you'd be lying if you said you did not groove to this song with or without friends. This station basically has all those fun R&B songs from the 2000s. For example, "We Belong Together" by Mariah Carey, "Suga Suga" by Baby Bash, and "Ignition (Remix)" by R. Kelly. Need I say more?
3. J. Cole Radio
J. Cole is no doubt a talented artist and so any songs that are similar to him have to be hits, right? You'll get some of The Weeknd's "The Hills," "All Falls Down" by Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar's "Don't Kill My Vibe," and other low-key killer rap songs.
4. Today's Alternative Radio
Three words: you are welcome. Yes, I will promote and campaign this station my whole life because they have all of those "I freakin' loooovvvee this song" songs. Anywhere from "Riptide" by Vance Joy, to "I Wanna Get Better" by Bleachers, to "Ditmas" by Mumford and Sons. Trust me, it's nothing but good vibes that would come through your speakers.
5. Dave Matthew's Band Radio
Dave Mathew's Band covers every type of rock genre you could imagine. Not to mention, the works of geniuses that have been satisfying music lovers for generations to generations. This radio will have all of DMB's classics like "Satellite," Warehouse," and "So Damn Lucky." Other examples are "The Cave" by Mumford and Sons and "Daughter" by Pearl Jam. Nothing could go wrong with the Dave Matthew's Band radio playing in the background.
There are so many other wonderful stations out there in the Pandora world, but these are a few of my favorite ones. So, break out that ole' air guitar and enjoy the grooves, man.
