Imagine a time before every kid was twirling a fidget spinner in one hand and texting their friends on their iPhone 7 Plus in the other. For those of us born in the mid-to-late 90s, we had a different set of toys to occupy our young minds. Here are some of the awesome toys kids that grew up in the 2000s were able to enjoy.

1. Blowpens

The only way to make the best airbrush art in the 2000s was to get some Blowpens. They were great until you would feel a little lightheaded from blowing ink out of a marker.

2. Password Journal

This journal only opened to the sound of your voice saying a secret password. It was all fun and games until you forgot your password.

3. Floam

Back before those ASMR foam videos were popular, kids had the joy of playing with Floam.

4. Magnetix

Before they were recalled in 2006, kids were able to build all sorts of things with hundreds of tiny magnetic sticks and metal balls.

5. Bendaroos

With these bendable and formable sticks, you could build just about anything.

6. Tamagotchi

Those long car rides to school were made better when you could play with your little virtual pet alien. Once that beeping started, you knew your Tamagotchi needed you.

7. Moon Shoes

Who needs a trampoline in your backyard when you can have them as shoes. They may not have actually worked but you still tried.

8. Pixel Chix

It was hard being a "2D girl in a 3D world."

9. Tech Deck

All the cool kids could do the sickest tricks with these mini skateboards.

10. Heely's

Lastly, what would a 2000's childhood be without falling down when trying to learn to skate in your Heely's.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
