If you’re someone like me, Netflix is one of your MVP's. There is nothing better than lying down have a long day and climbing into bed and pulling up your favorite show on Netflix and watching it until you can barely keep your eyes open. And it’s a sad day when you finish binge watching your favorite TV show and you have no idea what to dedicate yourself to next… have no fear because I have my top 10 must watch shows that won't disappoint.
1. One Tree Hill
This romantic yet drama-filled show, tells the story of many complicated but beautiful relationships as they find their way through high school and further. One Tree Hill will explore every aspect of a teenager’s life by covering the daily struggles that a teen might go through. This is not another cheesy storyline; it’s down to earth and relatable in different situations.
2. Sons of Anarchy
Now I know what you must all be thinking, “motorcycle gang?” Because I thought the same thing when I stumbled upon it. It took me about 30 minutes in to become a fan of this show. It’s action packed, but never fails to give you some romance. There’s not one episode where you don’t fall in love with the characters all over again.
3. Scandal
Firstly, everyone needs a little scandal in their life. This is arguably one of the best shows on television now, and lucky for you they have all four seasons on Netflix! This show explores the lives of lawyers who refer to themselves as “fixers” as they take in all the big crimes and scandals that happen in Washington D.C. But don’t worry because the fixers have some scandal of their own… Ex: maybe having an affair with the president.
4. Vampire Diaries
Now I know I have some skeptics here, especially regarding vampires, but I promise you that this show will make you fall in love with vampires in one way or another. This drama based show will make you cry, laugh, and cry again all in one episode. The love triangles that consume this show make you feel as if you’re living it first hand. I cannot voice to you enough how amazing this show is!
5. Parenthood
This show explores the lives of one big family who has issues just like any normal family would. With all these amazing actors and actresses on one screen, there is no excuse why you wouldn’t want to watch this show on replay.
6. Revenge
This show tells the story of a woman who is moving back to the Hamptons to seek revenge on another family who ruined her life a long time ago. It will definitely keep you at the edge of your seat for the full 60 minutes and keep you up at night because you won't be able to put it down.
7. Chasing Life
I personally have never watched a show so quickly in my life. I can definitely vouch that this show is one of the best that ABC family has ever made. It’s about a young woman in her 20’s who is just starting off her career in journalism when she finds out that she has cancer. I have laughed, cried, and hurt with the characters during every episode. This is a must watch.
8. Gossip Girl
If you haven’t watched it, then go watch it. I can proudly admit that I have watched gossip girl a full 3 times from start to finish. Not only do you drool over the luxury these kids have, but you also feel the pain that they go through all the time. The relationships that are formed in this amazing drama make you want more after every episode. And hey, who can deny watching Blake Lively?
9. Breaking Bad
I know I’m probably not the first one to recommend this series, but this list wouldn’t be complete with out talking about Walter White. If you don’t know, this show is about a chemistry teacher who is working to support his wife and child, then finds out he has cancer and will not be around for very much longer. Feeling guilty that he will leave his family with no money, he decides to get into the crystal meth business so that his family is supported once he dies.
10. The Carrie Diaries
Now if you haven’t watched Sex In The City, there is no better place to start then the Carrie Diaries. It follows the early life of Carrie Bradshaw as she finds her way through her youth. There is drama, heartbreak, love, and everything else that you can think of packed into the two season series. And plus, who doesn’t want to have a sneak peak of a Carrie Bradshaw life?
