Top 10 MakeUp Tips For the Summer

Summer is approaching, and that means that it's about to get ridiculously hot. Since the seasons are changing, it's time to change our makeup routine to accommodate the weather. There is no need to beat your face during the summer, an easy fresh face is all you need. Here are some tips that will have your face looking young and fresh for summer.

1. No need for foundation.

Ditch your foundation this summer, and use a BB cream instead. Foundations can be heavy and cause you to sweat as the weather warms up. Try using a BB cream or tinted moisturizer, they are lightweight and will leave your face feeling fabulous.

2. Wear a clear mascara.

Everyone loves to go swimming in the summer, but no one loves raccoon eyes. Instead of using that jet black mascara, that claims to be waterproof, try using a clear mascara. A clear mascara will give you all of the length with none of the mess.

3. Ditch the dark lips

The summer time is all about fun and bright colors. Don't reach for that dark plum that you used in December. A nice nude , or pink tone lipstick is perfect for the summer, and of course, you can never go wrong with a red lip.

4. Brighten up your eyes

The new trend for the eyes is colored eyeliner. Makeup artist are saying bye bye to the typical black cat eye, and instead, they are trying bold colors. Also, you can use a light brown or white eyeliner pencil on your water line to make your eyes larger, and younger.

5. Plump up those lips.

Do you want Kylie Jenner lips without the surgery? To make your lips appear larger and more defined use a light eyeshadow with a little sparkle, and dab it on the center of your bottom lip. To make your cupids bow more defined just outline it with the same eye shadow that you use on your lips. I highly recommend this tip when you opt to wear lip gloss instead of lipstick.

6. Glow baby glow

The sun is always shining in the summer, and that means so should you. Summer is the time to highlight your face to the max. When you highlight, you draw attention to the areas that the sun hit naturally. During the summer the sun is out all the time, so make sure you add a little sparkle to your cheekbones, nose, and the center of your forehead. I would use a powder highlight instead of concealer because it's lightweight.

7. Sunset eyes

The biggest trend makeup celebrity makeup artist are doing lately are sunset eyes. Instead of doing a whole eyeshadow look, just add a color with an orange or red tint to the crease of your eye to add dimension.

8. Blush

Blush is great for the summer. It adds a pop of color to your face, just don't overdo it. Adding too much blush will cause you to look like a clown...literally.

9. Lock in those brows

Everyone loves for their brows to be on point, but it's super embarrassing to rub your face, and take off a part of your brows. So this summer make sure to use a brow gel, in order to keep your brows in place all day.

10. Prime, Prime, Prime

The is the most important step for this summer. If you want to keep your makeup lasting all day, it is essential to apply a primer. Primers go on your face before your makeup and acts as a base for your makeup to stick to. A good primer will keep your makeup on no matter how sweaty or oily you get.

There you have it, 10 of my favorite makeup tips for the summer. These tips will have you looking flirty, fresh, and fabulous this summer.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
