10 Fruits You Should Be Eating
Rebel Dietitian

Why hello everyone! Here is my top ten list of fruits. It's a weird article, I know. But! It's never too late to learn some weird facts.

10. Bananas

Bananas are fantastic. Not only do they help with anxiety (eat them before you go on stage!), but they are also a phenomenal source of potassium. Plus, they are yellow! The happiest color.

9. Watermelon

Watermelon on a hot, summer day is maybe the most satisfying food. If you want to get really weird, you can drink the juice with a straw. Try it.

8. Apples

There is nothing better than going apple picking with your friends and family in autumn -- leaves crinkling under your feet, rotten apples all around. Biting into a fresh apple is such a good feeling. Plus, you can literally make anything out of apples - apple sauce, apple pie, kale and apple soup - you name it.

7. Oranges

They have vitamin C and fiber! What more can you possibly want? Also, if you peel an orange and light the little wick shape on the inside of the peel, it makes a candle. They're sweet, they're juicy, and they're orange. You can eat them after a soccer game, or just for a snack. But don't get the juice on your paper cuts! That burns.

6. Grapes

Red or Green? Grapes are pretty rad. They have cultural significance in Spain, in Judaism, in Italy... lots of significance. And they taste real good.

5. Nectarines

They're just so ... juicy. What more can you say about nectarines?

4. Strawberries

You can put these red fruits in anything. A bowl, a bowl with ice cream, a smoothie, and probably lots more. Have you ever seen a seedless strawberry? All I will say is that it's pretty weird.

3. Raspberries

Raspberries are definitely one of the best fruits out there. You can put them in smoothies, cereal, and even ice cream or frozen yogurt. Or just plain YOGURT! Phenomenal fruits they are.

2. Kiwis

One time we were at a carnival and this man was eating a kiwi with the skin on. Naturally, we asked: "Why are you eating it with the skin on!?" and he was so nonchalant about it. That's when it all started. Believe me. Eat them with the skin on. The skin is what makes the experience. Plus, it has most of the nutrients.

1. Pomegranates

OKAY - HANDS DOWN, pomegranates are the best fruits. But you really have to get the seeds yourself to have the full experience. Take a pomegranate, slice off the top, score the top, and then gently free the seeds from the fleshy fruit in a bowl of water. Then, strain the bowl of water, add a little sugar if you want, and enjoy!

Well, here you have it folks. Go eat some fruit. Especially pomegranates.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
