Valentine’s Day weekend is only a few days away; and if you're like me you're single as hell and probably have muttered the words "I hate Valentine’s Day" at least 10 times this week. That being said, I am here for you and would like to remind you that Valentine’s Day falls on a Sunday this year AND we don’t have class Monday due to presidents day. SO to help you get ready for an intense weekend of Valentine’s Day parties and events; here are my top 10 EDM/Dance songs to get you get out of your “I hate Valentines Day” funk and ready to find some pretend love for the weekend!

#10. In My Room by Yellow Claw (Feat. Ty Dolla $ign & Tyga)

Yellow Claw has a lot of bold sounds that sometimes are too intense for me. But, this song will definitely start you off for a wild weekend! Ty dolla $ign always has great verses.

#9. Modern Love by Coasts (The Lost Kings Remix)

Honestly, if I could make an article dedicated to just songs/remixes done by the Lost Kings I would.

#8. Bang My Head by David Guetta (Feat. SIa & Fetty Wap)

If you haven’t heard this song yet, then you’re late to the party. It just started hitting the radio stations; so get your fill before they kill it. Also, in all seriousness, is Fetty Wap in anything bad?

#7. Steal Your Heart by BRKLYN (Breathe Carolina Remix)

I mean it is Valentine’s Day weekend right? Go steal someone’s heart. Well, at least for the night. (the culture code remix of this song is also amazing)

#6. Where Are You Now by Jack U (Marshmello Remix)

A spin on a classic hit from last year! Marshmello is another up and comer and he is really good!

#5. I Won’t Let You Walk Away by Mako (Feat. Madison Beer)

Such a short song and the drop doesn’t come until the end. BUT, the song is so catchy and Madison Beer’s Vocals are astonishing! If you want the extended version you’ll have to buy it on itunes or at Beatport.com

#4. At The End of the Night by Swanky Tunes & Arston (feat C. Todd Nielsen)

This song makes me want to jump around and rave. It's honestly one of my favorite songs ever made; the drop is incredible! Arston has been killing the EDM industry lately. Keep your eyes out for him.

#3. This Could Be Real (Stan Arwell X Clean Bandit X Borgeous & Shaun Frank X Maroon 5)

Could it be real love!? Don’t let the long name trick you. This is one of the catchiest songs you will EVER listen to.

#2. Open Heart by Morgan Page. Feat. Lissie (Kevin Wild & BRYKLYN Remix)

Hey, you never know what could happen this weekend. Keep your hearts open!

#1. Until You Were Gone by The Chainsmokers & Tritonal

Easily my number one song! These are two of my favorite artists’ in the industry right now. Great song to jam out to and such a funny music video!

Now, just in case you're feeling a little romantic, i have one bonus track for you all to slow things down.

Thanks for reading! Have a legendary Valentine’s Day weekend everyone! Remember, it only has to be a crappy holiday if you make it that way. Have fun, be kind to one another, buy some girl/guy a drink, and charm responsibly ;)

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
