Dear Mr. Trump

Abortion is not a bad thing.

Dear Mr. Trump,

Following your inauguration on January 20th, there has been a huge social uproar regarding women's reproductive rights. I like thousands of other girls and women are disgusted and upset with you. Why else do you think the Women's march on Washington occurred? I’ll give you a hint-- in protest of your close minded thoughts on women's rights.

You've made your views on abortion clear, choosing to be Pro-Life supporter isn't a problem, everyone is allowed to have there own opinions and beliefs. The problem Mr. Trump is when you push your beliefs onto others that have differing ones, or when your beliefs take away the rights of others.

In an interview given by Chris Wallace on your thoughts about the possibility of overturning the Roe v. Wade court case, you made it abundantly clear that the protected rights surrounding my and all other woman right to get a legal, safe abortion could be in danger;

“If that would happen because I am pro-life, and I will be appointing pro-life judges, I would think that that will go back to the individual states.”

Before 1973 and Roe v. Wade, abortion was illegal in most states unless the mother's life was in danger, the pregnancy had abnormalities or if the pregnancy was a case of insest or rape.

According to Planned Parenthood, in 1965, 17 percent of pregnancy and childbirth deaths were due to illegal abortions, today that number is a mere .03 percent.

I’m sure we can all agree that legal, safe abortions are 100 percent better than illegal unsafe ones, which put the life of the woman at a greater risk.

If the Supreme case Roe v. Wade law is overturned, it would only be a matter of time before highly liberal Republican states such as Texas would outlaw abortion, restricting a woman's right to chose, and increasing the risk of getting illegal abortions once again.

Are you listening Trump? A fertilized egg, zygote or fetus is NOT a baby.

Adoption is an option yes, but the foster care system is already overworked and overloaded. Instead of protecting the “life” of a bunch of cells without a heartbeat, how about you start by helping the children and babies that do have a heartbeats of whom are being overlooked in our current foster care systems.

The ugly truth is Trump, you don’t care about equality when it comes to women's reproductive rights.

I am a woman, and I am the only one who gets to decide what to do with my body.

If you help overturn Roe v. Wade, you will be putting my rights over what I can do in the hands of everyone else but me.

Abortion is not a dirty act, but the act of you helping to restrict a woman's right to do what she wants with her body is.

It’s the 21st century, and it's time that we stop letting privileged old white men (YOU) tell us what we can and cannot do with our bodies.

So Mr. Trump, be a man and protect the decision of Roe v. Wade. Protect the rights of the females in America-- which is the land of the free. Keep it free Mr. Trump.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
