It’s been almost five years since I decided to become a teacher for the rest of my life. Going through college as an education major has been the most fun, exciting, stressful, yet rewarding experience I have ever had.
Growing up I never even thought about being a teacher, but then I got to high school and met you, the teacher that introduced me to my love for education and all the unselfish reasons of bettering students. I am thankful for you, because without you—meeting you and having you as my teacher, I would have entered college confused and undeclared for who knows how many years.
Because of you, I have a favorite book, and I actually read the books that we are assigned. Because of you, I have a love for English I didn’t have before. Because of you, my career path is not only in Education, but also in English. You inspired me so much with your teaching style that I decided to go into Education myself and I am absolutely in love with it, so for that, thank you, so much.
I have always loved learning and loved writing and English as a whole, but not the way that I do now, after I had you as a teacher. Learning what I have in college these last few years has really made me fall in love with the education field. I have learned so many amazing things and I would have never gotten that opportunity if I went into another field. I went into this field because I fell in love with learning, after I learned from you. I cannot wait to graduate and be a teacher and I hope that one day, I can inspire someone in the same way that you inspired me.
