Thank you for actually reading this (if you really are).
I know you’re busy with your multiple extracurriculars, sky high GPA, countless friends and actually finding time to sleep, so thanks for taking the time to read this (even if I had to text you five times to do it). Though we never really listened to each other when I lived at home, I’m glad you’re deciding to now.
I miss you.
I miss you! I miss driving to and from school with you, recapping our days, doing our homework and eating dinner with you. I never realized how much I would miss these small parts of my day, but they’re never the same without you. I miss going to Starbucks with you, seeing you at school in clothes I didn’t say you could borrow and even fighting with you over silly things. I also love that when you come to visit, it only takes us 15 minutes to start bickering just like old times.
I regret not spending more time with you.
Now that I’m away from home, I have realized that every time you wanted to hang out, I definitely should’ve said yes. Now, I wish we could have movie nights together or even just stay up and talk. You are one of the best influences in my life, and now I barely get to see you. I wish you could come visit every weekend! I know that now you have your life and I have mine, but just know I think about you everyday and wish we could play the same Taylor Swift song on repeat in the car everyday.
I’m proud of you.
I see all of your accomplishments, your pictures and your posts, and I can’t help but smile from ear to ear with pride! You have exceeded everyone’s expectations and have become such an amazing person. Your drive, your determination and your smile can get you anywhere you want to go. You truly are the golden child just because you make everyone around you as happy as you are. Anyone would be lucky to have a sister like you, and I am so glad that you’re mine. I can’t wait to see all of the amazing things that you do in your life, I will be there for them all!
Don’t hesitate to call.
Even though I’m usually the one to text you (usually double or triple-text), please never hesitate to call me if you need anything or even if you just want to say hi, I’m usually procrastinating more assignments than I can count. As the older, wiser sister it is my responsibility that you don’t make the same mistakes that I have (even though you never will). I love to hear from you, and I wouldn’t mind a double text every once in awhile!
I love you!
In college, I’ve met so many new people. I have sorority sisters, I have amazing new friends and I have a great boyfriend, but you will always be my day one best friend! You may be stuck with me, but I couldn’t be happier that I got stuck with you.
