As college is slowly approaching our way, I know that we will talk much less due to the fact that we will all be with our new friends and being glued to our textbooks. And then, all of a sudden we will get to the point where we will not talk anymore. High school was fun and I will not forget each and every one of you. Before we all head our separate ways, here are a few things I must say:
Thank you for the memories. Thank you for after school shopping trips, dinner dates and Friday night football games. Thank you for inside jokes and making me laugh till my stomach was hurting. Thank you for the sleepovers and the late night talks. Thank you for movie nights and eating lots of junk food. Thank you for the after class meet ups. Thank you for the venting sessions which always made us feel better.
Thank you for the good morning and good night texts. Thank you for helping me get up in the mornings when I just couldn’t do it. Thank you for the pep talks when I was nervous about a big test. Thank you for helping me with homework that I never thought I could finish. Thank you for struggling with me so I didn’t feel so alone. Thank you for making the most horrible class the most fun.
Thank you for being my shoulder to cry on when a boy broke my heart. Thank you for helping me get over the ones who treated me wrong. Thank you for helping me realize that I deserve better and to be happy. Thank you for helping me to love myself just the way I am. Thank you for sticking up for me when that boy was using hurtful words to me. Thank you for going out of your way to make me happy.
Thank you for helping me grow. Thank you for breaking me out of my shyness and helping me step out of my comfort zone. Thank you for walking with me in times of struggles when I felt so alone. Thank you for introducing me to experiences that I could have missed along the way. Thank you for cheering me on and encouraging me. Thank you for believing that I can do anything I set my heart to when I was about to give up.
As you all now part our ways to college, I only hope that your years are filled with so much happiness. I hope that you continue to be yourself no matter what life may throw at you. I hope you become friends with the people who bring out the best in you and continue to encourage you to follow your heart. I hope you don’t fall into temptation and do things you are not comfortable with doing. Surround yourself with positive people who will always be by your side no matter what. I hope that your friends will be good to you and encourage you just like you did for me. Thank you for everything that each and every one of you has done for me. You all have a special place in my heart and I will never forget the things y’all have done for me.
