Having a baby young doesn't have to be a bad thing.

It's not really anything new when men hear that the girl they're with gets pregnant they go running for the hills. However, does it have to be that way?

I know that there are tons of men in this society who freak at the thought of being a father. The simple idea of a woman being pregnant and it being yours gives them chills up their spines. This doesn't apply to all men, though.

The thought of a baby as a teenager can be a scary thought. It's a lot of responsibility and not everyone is ready for it. A lot of teenage guys fear the day when their girlfriend turns up pregnant, but others not so much.

To the guys who are afraid to be dads: it's not as bad as it seems. It's a ton of responsibility and can be hard at times, but in return, you get something that you will love unconditionally and something that will love you unconditionally. That doesn't sound all that scary, now does it? Being a father is a great opportunity to show your maturity and step up and care about someone other than yourself.

There are times when being a parent will be hard, but think about the first time your baby son or daughter wraps their little hands around your finger. Looking at you with such innocence in their eyes and you finally realize you're their protector, you're their life. Having someone or something love you that much sounds beautiful. You're baby son or daughter won't care about your past or who you slept with or who you were before them. What they will care about is how their dad helps them, feeds them and protects them. You're their hero, their protector and their only daddy.

Having a child young doesn't come without the struggle. You have to work harder, make sacrifices for the sake of your kid and do your best. If you're in college it's going to be a lot harder to take care of your kid, but, in the end, if you want to be there for them and raise them, those challenges that once were scary are now something you want to take. Nothing is too much of a challenge when it comes to the happiness and health of your son or daughter.

I may not be a dad yet, but I do not fear becoming one. The challenges that will ensure will be hard, I can only imagine, but when it comes down to it those are the challenges I want to take. I dream about having an amazing career as a journalist and photographer. At the same time, though in those dreams I have I see a little one of my own. Rather this little one comes along in a year or 5 years or 10 years, I will not fear becoming a dad. The thought of having someone that loves me unconditionally is enough to take those scary thoughts and make them bliss.

A good friend of mine once said, "Sometimes the most unexpected things are the best things." I couldn't agree with this more. The chance of being a father at a young age isn't usually something that comes up, but when it does it's not a bad thing.

The sacrifices that you make for your son or daughter will pay off in the long run. Don't fear becoming a father, it's a blessing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
