To The Girl Who Has Fallen For The Wrong Guy,
It's simple. You start talking to him for a few days, soon it turns into a few weeks and months. You give everything to make this work, you think about him constantly, wishing he would text you or ask you to hangout, but it just seems like you're the only one giving anything. You think about everything he's promised you, the times you hung out together and how great it was but then things start to change.
In the beginning he talks to you everyday like you are the most important person in the world. He tells you how beautiful you are, and how much you mean to him. You laugh at his stupid jokes and the 'not so funny' close up snap chats he sends you of his face. You think things are becoming serious with the amount of time you spend talking to each other, and you've fallen for him in a big way. In a certain, you can't stop thinking about him way.
Something changes. You start to notice that he's different, being short with you, not interested in talking like he used to. The first instinct is to think was it me? Was there something you did wrong? There is only so much that our minds can take before we end up making excuses for the other person. You question your worth, you question your confidence and your attitude, what was it that I did to made him turn away?
You start to apologize for everything; he's having a bad day so it must be your fault. He's in a bad mood so it must have been something you did, or something you said. You're constantly saying your sorry and all you get in response is him ignoring what you've said, ignoring all the kind things you've been saying to him for the fast few weeks. But still, you keep pretending like there is something there. You're the one who asks him to hangout, asking to spend time together. To the late night texts you waited up for, staying up late to help with anything he needed, wishing he would ask you about your day or even just ask you something about your life that suggested he cared. You were ready to give him everything, do anything he needed at the drop of a hat.
You're ready to do the things that people do in relationships; communication, commitment, and you should never have to apologize for giving that to someone you love. You keep looking for that glimmer of hope that will somehow bring you two back together, back to the way things were.
You've fallen, and you've fallen hard. You jumped in with both feet because that's just what you do, and there is no going back. You've given all of you to this person, making him a priority, and what are you getting back? Nothing. You like to think he's different. He is such a sweet, caring, one of kind guy when it's just the two of you. But how long is that going to last? How long will you go before you see that you deserve more than just that amazing guy once and a while.
It might seem hopeless right now, you might seemed lost, torn apart and broken, but you are waiting for this guy to turn around and realize that you are amazing, one of a kind, beautiful. BECAUSE YOU ARE. But, if he doesn't already realize what an amazing, beautiful person you already are, don't keep trying. He knew what a truly unique person you were and he decided that you weren't enough, the best thing for you to do now is walk away. It hurts and it's hard, but you are stronger than this and you have to push through to see the beauty of it all in the end.
He wasn't ready for you. He wasn't ready for commitment and the wonderful things that come along with spending time with you. Don't wait for him to change his mind, for him to suddenly realize that losing you was a mistake. You're better than that, you are worth so much more than that. Let him go. Let him go because he didn't care about you in the same way you cared about him, he didn't realize what was standing in front of him the whole time. Let him go because you deserve more than someone who took your heart and decided to crush it, without even thinking of the consequences.
So, to the girl who fell for the wrong guy, it's time to spread your wings and find your beauty. Reach for love and happiness, and spread it with all of your heart. For now, it's time to find yourself and find the happiness you have been searching so long for. Let your heart break; I know it will hurt, and I know it will be hard. But let it grow back stronger than ever before. You are worth more than someone who holds you back, and you are stronger than you know, I promise. The perfect person is out there, ready to love you unconditionally each and every day, be patient, be strong and open your heart.
