First of all I want to say I miss you. I miss you so much it makes me cry sometimes. We both made mistakes and lost each other, and even though we decided that we can no longer be friends, I just wanted to say this:
You are beautiful. I know you have had problems facing this fact in the past but you are so pretty. Do not let anybody tell you otherwise, and if they do, ignore them, because they are just jealous.
You are intelligent. I remember you coming home one weekend from school and explaining to me what you were learning and I was so proud. I was proud that you are so smar t, that I was best friends with this girl who could explain things to me that I could never think to understand.
Don’t let anybody use you. This is a hard one, but you are a tough cookie so I know that you know how to defend yourself, both physically and emotionally.
Some boys are going to treat you wrong, but I promise you will find one that will make you forget the heartbreaks of the past. I was there for all of the first kisses, the first “he is the one”, and silly party shenanigans from freshman year of college before things went downhill. No matter what any boy says or does to you, remember that you are better than him and his games. Someday you will find a boy and I’ll be reading the newspaper and will see your engagement announcement and I will cry tears of joy because you finally found “the one”.
You are going far. You are one of the most hardworking people I have ever met and I will always admire you for that. Your future is so bright and I am so proud of what you have and will accomplish in the future.
But what I want you to know most of all is this: I will always root for you. You may not see me or hear me, but I will always be praying that you find your way and become successful. We have said some hurtful things to and about each other, but in the end, you were my best friend for seven years. We went through middle school and high school together. We went through heartbreaks, laughter, middle school, and the majority of our youth, side-by-side, for so long that I could never wish harm on your future. I hope you find your happily ever after and succeed in your dream career, because I know you will.
