My Dearest Sister,
Hey there! I thought I would write a letter to tell you how much I love you. I know I don't tell you often, but I want you to know how special you are to me. You're an inspiration to me and have always helped me through many struggles in college.
I guess I will start with the day I was born; I know that you hated me. You were teenager, who was the only child, and suddenly had me to deal with a newborn who cried all day. If I were in your position, I would be upset too. I hear you were a great big sister, though. You would take care of me when mom and dad were gone and took me places, and I didn't know how special you were to me. Now, I wouldn't want any one else to call my sister.
Now, middle school and high school. I hated it and I think you knew how much I hated it. I would tell you about all my crushes, my boyfriends, homework and teachers you and I both had (scary!). I remember all the fun times we had outside of our conversations with school. We went to fancy restaurants, attended concerts, traveled and bonded throughout these experiences. I remember you helped me through college applications and scholarship essays and when I got into college and it was probably the best day! I want to thank you for that, because without you, I probably wouldn't have gotten into school or be who I am today.
Now in college, I look up to you the most. You have your doctorate and have children with your best friend and husband, or as I like to call him, bro-in-law. I want to be just like you because you are an amazing person, and who doesn't want to be that? You're an inspiration to everyone around you, especially me. I know mom and dad are proud of you, but I want you to know that I'm proud of you too. You have shaped my life into what it is today, and I can't thank you enough. Thank you for everything. I love you.
Love, your baby sister
