Although we may have changed throughout the years, our friendship never has.

To my Best Friend,

Let me first start out by letting you know how important you are to me. We've known each other since we were four years old and have been best friends ever since. Through all of those years, you have played such a big part in my life. You're the one that taught me how to find the humour in everything, shared with me your deep passion for animals and taught me that getting things over with is better than the anxiety that comes from waiting (your motto).

Surprisingly enough, you're even the one who introduced me to cheerleading. As we grew up together through elementary, middle, high school and now college, you've been the person I go to with anything. You've been the person I know will cheer me up, and the person that will undoubtedly make me laugh and smile.

I could go on for days about the memories we've made together because there have been many. For as long as I live I'll never forget the hours we spent in front of my laptop making silly dance videos to the latest Justin Bieber songs, or the bus rides we spent guessing what each other had eaten for breakfast that day, or the long conversations during sleepovers that turned into all-nighters. We have the oddest inside jokes and find the weirdest things funny, but that is just one of my favorite parts of our friendship.

You're the most genuine person I've ever met, the most loyal and dependable friend I've ever had, and the biggest dog lover on the planet. I'm incredibly grateful and thankful for the time you've spent cheering me up when I've had bad days and making me laugh when you know I need it. I don't know how I got so lucky to not only have a friend that has been there for me for as long as you have, but to have a friend that is so much like me and is as supportive and caring as you are.

You've been such a blessing in my life. Here's to 80 more years as best friends, and to all of the crazy and hilarious memories that will be made going forward. As cliche as it sounds, you're my best friend forever, and I hope everyone is as lucky as I am to have a person like you in their lives.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
