Calling all LTHS students who want to make a change at school.

If you don't know who I am, my name is Kiley Seivert. I'm a senior at LTHS. I'm the girl who hung all the post-it notes in the bathroom. I know that it made an impact on you students, and staff, and that makes me so incredibly happy.

When I found out all the notes had been removed, I'll be honest with you, I was mad. Incredibly mad, in fact. I wanted to drop out of the school because I was so disappointed in LTHS. Later on I realized how ridiculous that was, and decided on coming back bigger than before.

I didn't know how.

I didn't want to cause damage, I didn't want to make a mess. I didn't want to do something that would make someone's else's (management staff) job harder than it should be.

I also didn't want to get myself, or any of the students who volunteered to help me, in any trouble.

My original project had been based around girls, mostly because not only am I one, but because by age thirteen, 53 percent of American girls are unhappy with their bodies, and by age seventeen, that number is 78 percent.

I had many people come to me wanting to help and giving ideas, but none of them seemed quite right, so I kind of backed off.

Until today, Friday the 20th of January.

I met with the assistant principal today.

He told me that he greatly appreciated my gesture, and he wanted me to know that they weren't removed in negativity. The school doesn't really like to hang things in the bathrooms, and if he had allowed me to keep them hung up unapproved, he would have to allow everything to be hung up unapproved.

I respect that, and I am thankful that he took the time to come to me and talk.

He also told me that if I had any further projects, to come to him and he would approve them.

And so, here I am.

To everyone who was impacted by the project, find me.

It doesn't matter if you are male, female, straight, gay, bi, a freshman, a senior, a quiet sophomore, find me.

If you want to make a difference at LTHS, find me.

Whether you come to me physically or find me through social media, find me.

I told you I'm coming back, and this time it's going to be bigger and better than ever.

Spread it like wildfire.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
