How Carly Fiorina Handled Donald Trump Like A True G

Even if you haven’t been keeping up with politics everyone knows Donald Trump and that he is running for president. Whether you know him from "The Celebrity Apprentice," Miss Universe Pageant or from the first GOP primary debate where he said he would not support a fellow Republican nominee if he were denied the presidential bid. Maybe you know him from flat out insulting Carly Fiorina.

In an interview with "Rolling Stone," Trump decided Fiorina was a potential threat — which she is. Not only is Fiorina a graduate of Stanford University, but she was the CEO of Hewlett-Packard. And she was the first woman to lead a company ranked in the top 20 by Fortune magazine.

Trump felt threatened but instead of just being quiet, and frankly being a person, he went after her looks. “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?”

As opposed to retaliating against Trump and giving him what he wants like Megyn Kelly did. When Trump insulted Megyn Kelly of "The Kelly File," she let it bother her and continue a back-and-forth with Trump. When in reality, she should have just left it alone. Or by giving him a taste of his own medicine and saying to him his hair is thinning or that he has resting bitch face.

Fiorina came back with a response that is honestly pure brilliance. Her committee released a web ad in response to Trump behavior, called “Look at this Face.” The minute-long video shows pictures of women of different ages as well as a voice over of Fiorina and footage of her from a campaign.

Fiorina is a really strong women and passive aggressively responses to Trump (without even the slightest mention of him) “This is the face of a 61-year-old-woman, and I am proud of every year and every wrinkle”.

She was able to turn Trump’s words into a video that made me proud to be a woman. Fiorina proved that she wasn’t going to let someone bully her or let Trump make her feel bad about herself. Instead she came back at his negativity with a positive response. Fiorina handled the attack with class and grace. And like a True G.

Carly Fiorina has already broken one glass ceiling in her lifetime and, hopefully, she can break another. Best of luck to you Carly as you continue on with your journey to the presidency.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
