To my dear Big,
The day I have been dreading since you became my Big has finally arrived and I could not be more heartbroken. The thought of you leaving me for the crazy world that awaits you is both terrifying and incredibly exciting. I am extremely happy for you, very proud of you, and overwhelmingly excited for your future. You have worked tirelessly to be the student that you are, the genuine person people admire, and the big sister that I wholeheartedly love. I will miss you dearly.
I often think about how I can ever be as good of a Big to my Little as you are to me. You support me, praise me, cherish me, admire me, and look after me throughout everything. I can do no wrong in your eyes and that is why I love you so much. You inspire me to be the best person that I can be each and every day. You remind me to look for the positive in every situation. You praise me for doing my best, even when my best isn’t good enough. You laugh at my jokes, accept yet correct my wrongs, and are proud of my successes. You truly are my number one fan, and you better believe that I am yours, too.
The beautiful side to being sorority sisters is that we will always be connected. Even though you are graduating, you will always be my Big and I will always be your Little. I am thankful for the time we had together at the same school, even though it was not nearly enough. I hope you know how proud I am of you. I aspire to be like you. I hope to think like you, give like you, and be admired like you. Thank you for being my idol, my mom away from home, and my person. Thank you for taking me under your wing and treating me like your real little sister. Thank you for giving me all your love and always reminding me of my self-worth. You have my heart.
To my Big graduating: I hope you get everything you deserve and more. I hope all of your dreams come true and you have all the success in the world. Most importantly, I hope you always know how thankful I am to be your Little. Nothing will ever replace the spot I have for you in my heart.
“You’re the best, never change, only grow.”
Love,
Your Little
