If you're like me and struggle with social anxiety, you know how it's a daily challenge. Here are 20 thoughts you might be familiar with if you have social anxiety.

1. "If you don't make eye contact they won't call on you."

When the teacher is looking for someone to come up to the board.

2. "Are they laughing at me?"

When you walk past a group of people and they start laughing.

3. "Wait for someone else to get up first."

When you want to leave or throw something away but you don't want to be the first or only one to stand.

3. "Do not say anything stupid."

When you're finally socializing and you don't want to mess things up.

4. "Why did I just say that?"

Realizing you messed up and now you're stuck thinking about it for the rest of the day or even the rest of the week.

5. "Oh God are we presenting?"

When the teacher is explaining a project to the class and you don't know if you have to present or not.

6. "Why am I so tired?"

Constantly being tired even though you sleep a lot.

7. "You're laughing too much no one else is laughing anymore."

Being embarrassed that you're laughing way too much.

8. " Everyone is watching you."

When you're sitting or standing in front of people and you feel like everyone is staring.

9. "They probably think I'm a weird."

When you're talking to people and you think they don't like you.

10. " I just want to go home."

Being uncomfortable at a social event.

11. "Why did I even leave my bed today?"

Just any bad day.

12. "Just walk faster."

Trying to get out of a situation you're uncomfortable with.

13. "Oh God, I'm having an anxiety attack."

When you're having a normal day and all of a sudden it turns bad.

14. "I should put headphones so no one will talk to me."

The days you hate people.

15. "They can totally tell you're nervous."

When you're anxious for no reason.

16. "Please stop staring at my bitten nails."

When you feel like people are going to make fun or you for how short your nails are.

17. "No one is listening to me."

when you're trying to talk but everyone is talking over you or not paying attention at all.

18. "No no no."

Your response to anything that has to do with leaving your house and being social.

19. "Why am I like this?"

Questioning yourself everytime your anxiety gets the better of you.

20. "Just breathe."

Trying to calm yourself down.

In conclusion, you're going to be okay just breathe and remember anxiety doesn't define who you are, you define you. Take your time.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
