Life is known for throwing curve balls. There are ups and downs, yet during these times in your life, there always seems to be certain people around you who are always there to encourage you. This article is to those people in my life. The one's who are there on the days I'm watching Netflix eating a tub of ice cream and the days I made a good grade on a test and went shopping. These people are always going to be there, and that is something you will never doubt.
To my parents—thank you for always encouraging me to do my best. Whether I am debating my major and entire future one second or content with where my life is headed, you are always there to make sure I have everything in order to succeed. You will always be two of my biggest supporters but also two of the most honest people with me. You're not afraid to tell me when I've made a mistake, but you're also there to comfort me when my heart is broken.
To my roommate—thank you for always listening to me whether it is a random story about my day or me telling you that I want to lay in bed all day you always are there to support me. I got lucky this year by rooming with the girl from my math class second semester of freshman year. I remember when we first went apartment hunting and we barely knew each other. Now our girls' nights watching a movie will always be some of my favorite. Thank you for being the best roommate I could have asked for. You are always honest with me if I ask you to be, and that is something that I admire most in you.
To my high school best friends, and there are many of you—thank you for still being there at the end of our sophomore year of college. If you had told me that we would still FaceTime each other and hang out all the time when were home when we graduated, I would have been a little skeptical. You all have been there through my awkward stage and now my college stage. We are all trying to find ourselves in the world and even though we are all at different colleges, we still manage to keep in touch and be there for each other. I know if something ever happened, I could call anyone of you and you would always answer. After almost eight years of friendship, I know my high school best friends will be my best friends for life.
To my college best friends—thank you for becoming those people in a very short period of time that I will forever be able to count on when life happens. I know I can call anyone of you at 1 a.m. when it's been a hard day and I can come over and talk it through with you. Thank you for being there to comfort me when my 18-hour course load is getting to me, or when I just need someone to go to Diablos with.
To my sisters—thank you for always being exactly what I need. Whether it's a midnight fun to Cook Out or a duo to the social, I know I can always count on my sisters to be there for me. My 81 sisters are always inspiring me to seek greatness and be the best person I can. They believe in me when I sometimes can't see the potential in myself and have provided me with so many opportunities that I will never forget. I have found my best friends and my family in my sorority and without them, my college experience would be completely different. I have gained the best Big and best Littles a girl could ask for, as well as the best role models. I can always look forward to the sisterhoods of throwing paint on each other, or the chapter meetings when we get to catch up and talk about our weeks.
There are so many more people who remain by my side throughout everything and without all of you, life would be a lot crazier. Getting through life every day is easier when you have amazing parents, best friends, roommates and sisters there to support and encourage you.
