Whether big or small, I'm thankful for so many different things in my life. After all, who says Thanksgiving is the only day you can express your thanks.
1. My entire family
No matter how many countries separate me from you, I am always thankful for the people whom I can call my family. The people for whom I would jump on 5 different trains for just to see for two hours, without question. The people who I know always have my back.
2. My Parents
I don’t think anything I could ever say would ever do justice to show how thankful I am for my parents. They’re both rock stars. Especially you, Mom. I definitely would not be where I am today without them.
3. My close friends
The people that I confide in, are always there for me in time of need, accept my weirdness, share my love for adventure, stay up with me until the whee hours in the morning talking about life, and would come fetch me from downtown at 4 in the morning. My life would be a mess without you guys.
4. My Dog
Past and present, you’ve always put a smile on my face and you’ve always greeted me as if we were long time friends who hadn’t seen each other in years. You’ve been there to lick my boo-boos and let me play dress up with you when no one else was around.
5. People that challenge me
Sometimes it's refreshing to learn something new from someone who has a completely different outlook on life.
6. Dark Chocolate
A world without dark chocolate is clearly a world that I don’t want to live in. The end.
7. Driving stick shift
Because lets be honest, driving a stick is always more exhilarating. It’s also theft proof in America.
(Thanks Mom)
8. Grey’s Anatomy
Thank you for almost making me reconsider my career path and consider becoming a surgeon instead. And also for making me procrastinate.
P.s. Still salty at Shonda for pulling a fast one on us with Derek. My heart still hurts.
9. Asparagus
Because it’s delicious and also nutritious. One rad veggie.
10. UGA beating Auburn this year
Because shamefully, this was my first game of the season. And we just so happened to beat one of our biggest rivals. And also, because I straight up didn’t think we had a chance of winning.
11. The fact that there are no cockroaches in certain parts of this world
I think this speaks for itself.
12. J.K. Rowling
Thank you for blessing us with Harry Potter and convincing us Muggles that our Hogwarts acceptance letter will one day come. I'm still waiting.
13. Mock Trial
What an honor and a pleasure it has been to work with some of the most brilliant, creative minds. I have learned more than I ever thought possible from Mock Trial. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.
14. Tanning Lotion
If not for you, I would look like Casper the ghost in winter.More importantly, Betty White. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about, watch the movie.
16. Polish Food
I’m actually convinced that there is nothing tastier. Like seriously. Thanks mom for giving me unrealistic expectations of how decicious all food should taste …
17. Being trilingual
Though I might get lost while traveling abroad due to the fact that I’m directionally challenged, at least I won’t look like a tourist when I get lost.
18. Going to University
I’m thankful not only for being able to attend the university I currently attend, but for the fact that going to university was even an option for me. Never take learning for granted.
19. The fact that I will never have to force my body into a size 24 fastskin ever again
Hallelujah.
If you’re a swimmer, then you understand.
20. The fact that I can shave my legs more than 2 times a year
Also a swimmer thing.
21. Lindsey Stirling
Because I have never been so obsessed with any musician ever before.
22. Pickles
Not the sweet ones, the sour ones.
23. Chickfila
Because honestlyyy I don’t feel terrible about myself if I decide to treat myself and eat chickfila.
24. Lipstick
If you want to look cute, do your eye make up. If you want to look fierce, wear lipstick.
25. Porsche
Physics. German Engineering. Adrenalin. Enough said.
26. Fuzzy socks
Because my feet get cold no matter what and I would probably die without fuzzy socks.
27. Airplanes
Because without airplanes, traveling sure would be a challenge. And I love traveling.
28. Christmas lights
I don’t know what it is about Christmas lights, but the world just seems like a better place with them around.
29. Running shoes
Just give a person a good pair of running shoes and they can go anywhere.
30. Graphing Calculators
Doing statistics without a graphing calculator straight up sucks. Just trust me, don’t do it. So bless up for the fact that we don’t have to use an abacus anymore.
31. Marshalls
What a blessing for those of us who are frugal but yet still want to look well dressed.
32. Cameras
I’m that person that needs to document everything. I mean, who knows, in 10 years if you get amnesia, your pictures will be there to remind you of the all of memories you made.
33. The future
Every day is a brand new day. A fresh start. An opportunity to achieve greatness, change the path you’re on, and embrace the many possibilities.
