Life is hard. It's not a walk in the park. Life is more like a roller coaster of emotions. Some days you are just really feeling it and others it's like the world is ending. It can be hard to explain why you feel like this, and why you just want to be left in complete solitude. But just remember, there is always light on the other side of the tunnel.
1. Take time to let the tears fall.
With pain comes sadness, which brings on the waterworks. It's healthy to cry. For one, it shows that you actually have feelings. And secondly, IT'S TOTALLY O.K. TO CRY. But once all the waterworks are done, pick yourself up.
2. You are going places.
School is one of the most stressful places that can cause life to get tough. Taking 18 hours on top of all the extracurricular activities can be overwhelming. Know that where you are now, it is making you into the person you are going to be. It's building up character inside of you. You are becoming someone far more awesome than you ever thought you'd be.
3. Pain is temporary.
Might be from that workout you endured the day before or the heartbreak you had last night. Either way, it will only last a little while. Push through, because the results will be fulfilling, and you will be so proud of yourself for the decision you made.
4. Pick yourself up and keep going.
You will survive. I PROMISE. Life is going to keep on going, and so will you. So pick yourself up and start fresh. Yeah, you might have your relapses, but you will learn, and you're getting stronger each time.
Life is hard. But the best thing about life is that we have people that love us and are willing to walk with us every step of the way. Let your friends and family help you, because it's hard to heal alone. Go out on the night when you're just wanting to stay in. And eat that cupcake. I promise you it's not going to kill you.
